Daja was ashamed to admit it to herself, but a visit to the Magical Department was long overdue. She may be a blacksmith, but she was a mage as well - and she should not neglect her magical skills. Having rigged an alarm spell some time ago for just this sort of occasion, Aibghalien stepped in the door after her -- which didn't make much sense until one remembered that his teleport platform was around the side of the building.

"Good day, Daja," he said politely but with a sincere smile. "What can I help you with?"

"Good day, Aibghalien," Daja said in return, bowing. "I should have known that you would be a member of the Magical Department - but I'm afraid I have a confession to make. I haven't visited this Department before."

"That's understandable." The elf shrugged mildly. "You give the impression that your abilities into it are secondary to or just a part of your calling as a smith. Though there's no rule you can't be a member of more than one department."

"Nonetheless, I am a mage. At the very least, I should ensure that the Department knows of my abilities, in case my particular kind of magic is ever needed. And I am curious about the magics of other worlds - I still find it hard to believe, how different magic can be from what I know."
