If someone were to walk into the Sensoriums right now, they could expect a drop right into a pool of warm water. If and when they reach the surface, they'll find themselves surrounded by lush, tropical scenery. A waterfall pours gently into the pool, flowering palm trees surround them, a rather large man's painting the scene, fish flutter in the ( Read more... )

Angie's getting used to walking in on strange things in the Sensoriums. Which is about the only reason she didn't drop into the water. First feeling of falling and certain subroutines kicked into gear to keep her up. Which meant that, for the moment, it looked like there was a silver woman walking on water.

The voice was unexpected and Angie's eyes widened. Or, rather, the duplicate's because it was patently obvious to anybody with eyesight as good as Apollo's that the eyes were silvered over. She held out her hand, one finger up. "Hold that thought," she ordered him, then turned around and headed out of the Sensorium.

He watches the duplicate leave, and shakes his head a little. He manages to do a few more brush strokes before setting his paints and brush down carefully, and taking two large steps to the right.

Then, he braces himself for the greeting that will be coming.

Like she could actually bowl him over. Still, it probably wasn't a bad idea to put the paints down.

It still takes another couple of minutes before the doors open and the real Angie comes through. She does hold back a bit, but it's still a lot of metal weight that hits Apollo as she wraps around him in a hug. "Apollo!"

Apollo's been tackled harder. Angie still has nothing on a six year old's 'I missed you' tackle.

"Me!" He wraps his arms around her and grins. "I thought you would have found me by now. But it wasn't like I could let you have free run of this ship forever."

Especially not when that six year old is Jenny Quantum. If there was anybody who could tackle as hard as she liked, it was Jenny.

Angie sticks out her tongue. Entirely mature, there. "You never call, you never write. You never use your fucking radio telepathy." She poked him in the chest. "How was I supposed to know you were back?"

"I figured I'd be a massive blip on your gaydar." He shrugs amicably, then pokes her in the forehead. "You're probably so spread across the ship right now, you're not keeping things straight. What have I told you about that?"

Angie crosses her eyes, trying to look at the spot he's poked. Which she couldn't, of course, but it's an automatic reaction. "Actually, most of them are concentrated in Neuropathy?" Most of them being five, with a couple off doing other things. "I know, I know. But there's just so much that needs to be done!"
