The location? Shea Stadium, circa late 90's. Two innings in, Mets down by two and up to bat. The occupant? Well, it was mostly filled with a semi-decent crown of fake people, but the only member of the crew currently watching the game was the younger Peter Parker

"Who's winning?"

A grinning green face plopped himself down in a seat next to Peter with a "#1" Foam hand on his head like a hat and a tub of nachos.

"Heya Beast Boy. The Phillies are." Peter replied.

"Booo." Responded the Changling offering the nachos to Peter, "Great idea though, I haven't seen a baseball game in forever! Like, last time the Titans and I had to win a baseball game against a bunch of criminals."

Peter ate a few. "It's kind of an annual thing with me. Though I moved it up by a few months 'cuz of the last mission." He said, licking the nacho cheese from his fingers.

"Yeah I heard a little of that, you guys had a pretty rough go huh?" He crunched away keeping his eyes on the field thinking back to the games he and the Titans used to watch in Jump City.

[puny_parker]

"Yeah. Relatively speaking, I probably got off fairly easy though. I'm more worried about Kory than about my own mental health right now."

After all, Peter reflected, he'd actually had experience with things that messed with his memories and personality. Sure, the symniote wasn't on that scale, but he'd at least learned a couple of things about moving on from weirdness like this.

"Kory?" Beastboy suddenly was at full attention turning back to Peter, "What happened to her out there?"

"She ended up in the cheerleader clique. And I mean a 1980's teen movie cheerleader clique. Complete 180 personality shift."

Beastboy blinked once, twice, third time and then snorted and laughed.

"What's so bad about cheerleaders? I would think Starfire would be all about cheer!"

"You never went to high school, did you?" Peter asked, already pretty sure of the answer.

[changelingdude]

"Home schooled." Beastboy declared passively before carrying on, "So what's the problem are we talking like...upper crust full of themselves "Pretty young teens with problems" cheerleaders? I mean don't they take care of their own?" He inquired worried as he thought back to some of the teen dramas he missed from T.V back home.

"I mean like Carrie." Peter answered.

"Oh..." Beastboy's ears drooped. "So like...they totally bagged on her?" There was a pause before he realized another option, "Oh..or like...she turned into a horrible um...witch?"

[puny_parker]

Peter scracthed the back of his head awkwardly.

"Kinda both. She was pretty conflicted about the whole being a "witch" thing though, whioch probably led to her friends bagging on her."

[changelingdude]

"Aw dude...harsh." Beastboy crunched on some more gooey cheesy chips as he mused, "I'll go find her and see if she wants to talk about it after the game. I bet the cheerleaders reminded her of Blackfire."

[puny_parker]

Peter scowled at the mention of the name.

"Speaking of Blackfire? Highly tempted to kick her in the face so hard her great grandkids will be born with flat noses."
