||Mission complete,|| Stacy's voice rang out through the ship. ||Obs deck returning.||

The mission was a success, and so the away team returned, and the Obs Deck was back in it's proper place.

But, this time, they came back with a few more visitors.

Among the returning crew members stood three strange aliens. There was the ever-dour Revus Lod, ( Read more... )

Dhianeila had felt the sensations of the occurrences happening down on Arkez, thankful that the hostility and threats had dissipated quickly enough. The presence of these three new beings on the ship triggered her instinct she was raised to present to any newcomers, so her projection appeared on the Obs Deck and she kindly bowed before the Lensmen.

"Greetings, and welcome aboard," she began, meeting each of their eyes with her own, keeping her smile warm and welcoming.

"I like this one!" Ippli said excitedly. "She seems nice."

Revus rolled his eyes with a sigh, while Commander Rahk gave her a polite nod.

"Greetings," the Commander said.

Her smile twitched a bit as she held back a bit of laughter at Ippli's remark. But at least they seemed friendly enough, it was refreshing to have visitors that seemed to mean no harm after all she'd heard since waking up. She didn't seem fazed at all in their presence, either - she was too used to meeting other beings across the universe that looked even stranger than them. Her brothers looked down on her, but in reality her diplomacy toward others had in the end helped them far more than they could have imagined. New faces were great to see for her.

"You seem very nice, as well," he answered. "My name is Dhianeila Y Leisha Altoria Ol Yunos. I no longer feel the threat of the Ohm down on the planet, but all the same, I hope you ran into no problems when dealing with them."

"Not really," Rahk replied. "It was a small force, and your crew softened them up for us."

Revus seemed particularly annoyed at that last fact.

Letting out a relieved sigh, she kept her posture straight and steady. "I'm glad for that. And I thank you for the help you've provided our crew."

But the planet the crew had been down on... "Did you three come from the planet? It didn't seem as though it was populated."

"No, it was uninhabited," Rahk said. "We were on patrol when we heard report of Ohm activity in the area."

"On patrol?" She looked curious. "So you and your people are aware of the existence and threat of the Ohm?"

This both intrigued and worried Dhianeila. Perhaps this crossing of paths could be a great thing. But if these beings were from a universe not connected to others like they on Stacy were ... the Ohm appearing could put it in danger.

"Of course we are," Revus said, rolling his eyes. "Everyone in the GIA knows about them."

"Don't be an ass, Revus," Rahk commented.

"I apologize for the assumption, sir. You see," she continued, "we who awakened on this ship had no prior knowledge of their existence before we were attacked. Until now, I have not personally met others outside of our crew who knew of them. Are you in a similar situation as we are, then?"

"No," Rahk replied, "As part of the Transmigration Project, you were all saved from fallen Pre-Bleed worlds to fight the Ohm, but we're from the Greater Interdimensional Alliance."

"Greater Interdimensional Alliance? A Project? If you don't mind, can you explain these terms to me at a bit more depth?"

The names were enough to give her a slight idea of things ... but it was a lot to grasp. Especially since different universes were in fact something she was used to ... only those universes were created by the Tribe of Gold ... and though their power had been passed to the Tribe of Silver in her own universe ... could this 'Greater Interdimensional Alliance' be their successors for another universe? The thought of this excited her on the inside, but she kept herself calm.

"The GIA is the primary power in the multiverse," Rahk explained. "It was established several millenia ago by the Daligig with the help of several lesser alliances. As for the Transmigration Project, it was an effort by the Daligig to help fight the Ohm. This ship, and a number of others like it, were that project."

"The power of the universes..." she trailed off, wondering if she should ask. Well, better to try than wonder about it later if they were to part with these beings. "If that is the case, I wonder if you are aware of the Tribe of Gold? Where I am from, they are the ones with the power that extend beyond just one universe."

She had many more questions, but decided to tackle them one at a time.

"Tribe of Gold?" Ippli asks curiously.

"Sounds like some type of Ascended," Revus replied. "There are a number of them around, but they're all typically mysterious and keep to themselves."

dhianeila November 30 2010, 04:45:44 UTC
"They certainly do that where I'm from. So maybe they're part of this 'Ascended' category."

If that was the case, the people they were dealing with were no doubt extremely important to their mission. "What is the Transmigration Project? I'm afraid we don't have any of the Daligig aboard anymore, and we're not sure why they took their leave."

"The Transmigration Project is the Daligig's last ditch effort to stop the Ohm by rescuing who they can from Pre-Bleed worlds, particularly Chosen, to help fight the Ohm."
