Leon stepped forward, one of the first to greet them.

"Welcome aboard, Lensmen. I'm Captain Leon S. Kennedy, the Commander of this crew."

Samus, the silent giant, wasn't far behind. She makes her presence known, but doesn't immediately introduce herself. She just likes to know everything that's going on likes to make sure everything runs smoothly while she's around.

"Commander Rahk," said the massive snakeman, looking around the room. "No Daligig or GIA crew members. Much like the others."

He looks back at the two standing in front of him.

"What's your current situation?"

Leon had to resist the urge to tell them exactly what their situation was. But, right now, he'd at least try the friendly approach. This was their first opportunity to get some answers.

"We've secured the ship, but Stacy's core AI, while operable, took some serious damage. We've also only had very limited communication with the Daligig, and there wasn't a lot of information left behind for us to go on.

"There are a number of questions we need answers to."

Rahk simply raises an eyebrow at that. He knew the other Transmigration ships they'd found were bad off, but he didn't know they were this bad.

"I'll answer what I can," he says.

"I appreciate that." Well, this was off to a good start, idiot teenage subordinate aside.

"For starters, what can you tell me about the GIA?"

"Greater Interdimensional Alliance," he says. "It was established several millenia ago by the Daligig and several lesser interdimensional alliances that existed at the time. It's currently the primary power in the multiverse, though there are still plenty of territories it doesn't have jurisdiction over, particularly Pre-Bleed worlds like your own."

"There's a lot to tell about it, so you'll have to be a bit specific if there's more you want to know."

There was a brief nod. "I'll come back to that momentarily.

"Can you tell us anything about what happened to cause the Daligig crew to abandon ship?"

"I honestly don't know," he says, furrowing his brows. "All of the Transmigration Project ships disappeared somehow, and the other two that have been found were just like you, with no Daligig crew."

That was interesting, to say the least.

"What was the purpose of the Transmigration Project?"

"From what I know, they wanted to save who they could from Pre-Bleed worlds that fell to the Ohm, particularly Chosen, and hopefully use them to help fight the Ohm. Kind of a last-ditch measure. There were about ten ships in all, but only 4, 7, and now 9 are all accounted for."

That fell in line with what little they knew so far. And, odds were that probing more into the past wouldn't give them much answers. The situation was what it was.

So, deal with the situation.

"Alright. But now that we are accounted for, what do you intend to do with us?" And here things had the potential to get rather tense.

"I wanted to see your situation for myself," he replied. "You're pretty important to both the Daligig and the GIA as a whole, so it's important to make sure you're in fighting shape."

He looks around and sighs.

"Doesn't look like you have much to work with, though."

There was a pause from Leon as he thought about where to take this conversation next.

"Are you authorized to negotiate on behalf of the GIA?"

"Are you kidding?" Revus said incredulously. "He's a flething hero. GIA High Command would do just about anything for him."

"He's exaggerating, really," Rahk interrupts, "But yes, I do have a good amount of pull with High Command."

Revus got a flat look from Leon, who then looked back at Rahk. Dude, he feels your pain.

But, back to the matter at hand.

"Listen... this wasn't our first encounter with the Ohm, we've seen what they can do, and the devastation they leave behind. We're willing to help the GIA, but they're going to have to help us out in return."
