Leon was, somehow, 900 kajillion light-years away from everything and everyone he ever knew. But what was he doing right now?
Walking through a ruined city that was crawling with raging infected in an attempt to locate and rescue any survivors. Again. Not that this work wasn't his stock and trade, but one would think that fate would have something

This probably would be a great excuse to rally the Outsiders. Beastboy mused as an after thought rounding a corner, Do I just call them I wonder? Would they come? I mean it's not like we have to do much. Find the sick people get them to the med bay right?

If only there was someone around that he could make pay for all these indignities...

What the heck? His dog vision wasn't so great so he shifted back to regular form to get a better look at this new arrival, it was like no creature, alien, mutant or otherwise that he could identify.
"Uh...YO!" He called waving his hand to get the persons attention, "Yo dude over here! Seen any sick dudes?"

Ax would have frozen, insulted to the core, if his body had been properly under his control. However, he was less coordinated than usual, and instead stumbled and nearly smacked into a wall; which only infuriated him further.
< I am not you're 'dude'! > he shouted in thought-speak.

A part of him noticed that this person spoke in his head like the red tailed hawk he'd met earlier. Maybe they knew each other?

He started circling his opponent, all four eyes focused on him now.

"The sickness dude, there was an announcement on the comms, some kinda virus escaped and it's making everyone really really mad."
He shifted his stance a little opting for a defensive stance ready to spring out of the way if the blue furry dude charged.
"My name's Beastboy, what's yours?" He added trying to defuse the situation.

No, no. It didn't matter! None of this mattered! He needed...something. A fight. Yes! Yes, he wanted a fight! Finally, a clear cold certainty on this stupid ship!
The first blow was clumsy and slower than usual; but even slow and clumsy, Ax was fast. Fortunately for Beastboy, the clumsiness meant that he over-extended himself, so he couldn't follow it up with a second strike -- for the moment.

With a fresh fire of pain searing in his mind Beastboy instinctively went for the best defense he could come up with at the drop of a hat and shifted into a turtle sucking himself inside the shell and falling to the ground with a clatter.
OK...ow!

< How did you do that?! > he demanded, clumsily kicking the turtle against a wall. < Where did you get the technology?! Come out of there and fight me! >

"You want the long story or the short story? I like the long story better because it gives me more time before you get all stabby again."

Instead he gave chase.

...well OK maybe he wanted to hurt AX a little. That shoulder wound really hurt!

"One for one dude, we don't have to fight over nothing."

Yes, apparently they did have to fight over nothing. At least, as far as Ax was concerned. He was angry, he was injured, he was furious, and he was not going down without a fight.
As soon as he got back up on his hooves, he charged Beastboy again.
