This was new. Not the voices in his head, he had gotten used to that, thanks to the 00's Trans-Am system, but the waking up naked in slime part was new.

But this new voice, claiming that he was chosen for a great purpose. Some new destiny for him. Alright then, let's see where this destiny leads him.

Least 'm not alone...

Duo glances to a pod just a few feet away from his and gives an awkward wave.

Awkward only because-- well. They're both naked and covered in slime. Not exactly the optimal way to meet people, but Duo could wing it.

"Uh. Mornin'?"

Setsuna regarded the other person with a critical eye. They were also naked, also covered in slime, so they were not a threat to him.

He didn't return the greeting, though he didn't seem awkward about the situation at all. Either he found nothing wrong with being naked and slimy, or he was practically a robot. He turned his head towards the direction a string of lights was leading them.

"I'm going this way." And that is where he headed. Tag along or not, Other Naked Guy, the choice is yours.

Duo's expression twisted into a somewhat-pouting frown.

Oh. Oh. He's one of those. Duo knows how to deal with those.

A sly grin cracks Duo's lips as he leaps out of his pod-slime with a stumble to tag after the other kid.

"Well, 'least you're not a naked chick."

After about two beats and realizing how that sounded, he quickly added "I mean! You know, at least I'm not trying not to stare at your chest or, you know, uh--"

Give up while you're behind, Maxwell.

"..Forget it.."

...And he thought Lockon didn't know when to shut up.

Setsuna kept walking, his eyes scanning his surroundings. This strange place practically looked like it was alive.

"What can you tell me about this place?" Hey, if Other Naked Guy wanted to yammer on, he could at least do so while imparting potentially useful information. Assuming he had any to pass on.

"Other than the crap they probably mentally-injected into all of us? Ya got me. All I know is I'm out one Earth Sphere and one pair'a pants."

Among other things.

"Anything else, I'm gonna have to find some kind of computer console to fiddle with. That is if this thing has 'em- if it's some kind of alien organic interface I dunno if I can do bull or shit with it."

That, and he didn't have any equipment on them. It was all in 'scythe's cockpit.

"What about you, tall dark and lineface?"

"My name is Setsuna F. Seiei," he informed him. If he was going to be called something, it may as well be his own codename.

"I don't know anything this place, or who could've taken us." And what they did with his Gundam, which was the most important thing to him right now.

"Duo Maxwell. I'd say nice to meetcha, but I'll be honest- it could be better."

Normally, Duo would be perfectly willing to expect a codename, considering half the people he knew were going by names not their own (him included, if one were to be technical about it) - but in this place, it wasn't as if he could expect something similar. The guy sure didn't look like a "Setsuna", though.

"What's the F for?" Duo chitchats, and unbeknowest to Setsuna, wonders the very same thing.

"I don't know," he answered, regarding his middle initial. "I never asked." If he was joking, it was impossible to tell. The words were delivered with the same deadpan tone as everything else he's said so far.

Duo cocked a brow. "Don'tcher parents have a birth certificate or somethin'?" He shrugged. Not that he'd know; he never had one he knew of in the first place.

He shook his head with a smirk at the guy's back. "You always this enthusiastic?"

There was a slight narrowing of his eyes at the question about his parents. That was not he wanted to get into with anyone, least of all a stranger.

"Are you always this talkative?"

"Yup!" he chirped, still slinging alien snot away from his scraggly, waist-length hair. Orphan-scars aside, Duo wasn't showing any signs of leaving Setsuna alone.

As an afterthought, he mutters under his breath, "Jesus, you're just like him."

"Hm?" You'll have to speak up Duo, he didn't quite catch that.

"Noooothing, nothing," Duo calls over Setsuna's shoulder, shaking his head.

"Anyway, do you have any idea where you're going, or are you just wandering around? I'm not exactly planning to follow you into oblivion or anythin', yanno?"

"I'm going this way," he reiterated, going wherever these lights were leading them, which seemed to be up a ramp and towards more lights.

"You can go wherever you want."

"Better than alien gooland, I guess," Duo mumbles, glancing back over the entirety of the pod cavern behind them-- it was only just now that he noticed how enormous the room was, like he was viewing an entire colony sprawling forward from a hill.

Not only that, but he noticed just how many pods there were- unpopped, and already popped- and wondered if the other guys were in here somewhere. For a moment he stopped in his tracks, overlooking the area.

Maybe he'd be able to find out later. He sure wouldn't learn anything else by sticking around here.

Time to move on, huh.

He turns and continues following after Setsuna.
