Ugh, gross. Maybe not the most profound of first thoughts in this situation, but a fitting one. Amelia pushed herself up from the floor into a sitting position. She paused when she heard the weird voice, but it didn't make much sense. Was it a Spirit? But she couldn't feel any Spirits nearby...

She shoved her hair out of her eyes (guh-roooooss this was going to take forever to wash out) and looked around the dizzying cavern. She closed her eyes, turned on her Spiritalker's Sight, and took another look.

It only made things more dizzying. Swirls of blue and green spiraled into infinity, with tiny dots of other colours marking other figures in the distance. She turned off her Sight before it triggered a migraine.

She set her hands on the floor to push herself to her feet, and that was when she realized she was completely naked.

When you're from a society that considers bare shoulders vulgar, that kind of thing comes as a shock. She screamed, pressed herself back against the nearest vertical surface, and curled up in an attempt to preserve as much modesty as she could.

Euphemia heard the shriek, and turned quickly to see who was there.

A Britannian girl. Was she hurt? That clinched it; for now, all thoughts of what she had to do were pushed to one side. She had to help, if she could. Belatedly, Euphie realized she was also nude, but that came secondary to figuring out what this was, and what was the matter with this other girl.

She positioned her arms awkwardly, folded in front of herself so as to hide those three most embarrassing areas, and moved closer. "What's the matter? Are you injured?" Euphie's voice was wrought with worry. "Please, talk to me..."

OH MY GOD ANOTHER PERSON. There was a second of panic, but then Amelia realized it was another woman, in the same state of undress, and that made it a little easier to deal with. It's not so bad around other girls, after all, and - wait a minute was that girl's hair pink?!

Okay, she could concentrate on that later. Right now, weirder things were more important.

"No, I'm not--" she did a quick check, just to make sure, "--I'm not hurt. I'm just - um. Surprised?" She pushed her bangs out of her face, glancing sidelong at the cavern. "...D...do you know what all this is?"

Surprised... Well, Euphie couldn't blame her. She was ill at ease herself. She'd just been at the SAZ, after all--

--at the SAZ; she had something vitally important to finish--

No, no; Euphie shook her head frantically. Right now she had to help this other girl and figure out where they were. But the order beat at her incessantly. How long could she ignore it?

"I--I don't know," she replied. "I thought I heard someone's voice just now, but..."

"Huhhhh, this is a dream, right? Or some kind of weird vision quest, like the one Jarovah did in the story with the Molge? Are your my vision guide? What's your name? But there aren't any Molge around anymore and I sure don't remember talking to any, so maybe it's not that after all..."

So many strange words... Euphie just stared blankly at the other girl for a moment.

"I'm... not sure what you just said," she admitted weakly. "I'm sorry, I'm sure it's my fault. My head feels all fuzzy..."

She cocked her head, arched an eyebrow. She hadn't said anything weird. How could somebody not know about Jarovah or the Molge?

"What's your name?" she repeated. Something a little easier to respond to constructively.

"Um-- Euphie," she replied. "Just Euphie. And... and who are you?"

"That's a weird name." Tactful, Amelia. "My name's Amelia Varista, I'm a summoner."

She uncurled, a little, and wrapped her arms around herself, looking out at the vastness of the cavern again. "This is really weird."

Euphemia ducked her head, a little embarrassed. Was it really?

"It... it is strange..." What was really strange was Amelia, though. "A summoner? Is that a sort of Knightmare Frame pilot?" It was the only definition she could come up with.

Now that Amelia seemed to be less terrified, Euphie looked around at the cavern around them. There were lights lit up on the floor, as though to denote a path of some sort. But what could possibly be down that path?

That was some pure undiluted confusion on Amelia's face right there. "A what? Don't you know what a summoner is?"

"Well-- no, I haven't heard the term before..." Well, except for in the fantasy novels she read, but that was just ridiculous." Euphie blushed red and fidgeted. "I'm sorry."

"Wow, you must be Zheni or something." She didn't look like a person from LaoZhen, but then again that hair... (Not that Zhenis had pink hair, but Amelia had never seen one in real life before so who knew what they actually looked like!)

But she ignored that branch of conversation and turned her gaze down to the lights on the floor. "Do you think those lights go anywhere?"

"Zheni? No, I'm Euphie," she corrected, still confused. Maybe she was dreaming... She'd had dreams before where people said funny words that she couldn't understand, but usually that was only after she woke up and recalled what she'd dreamt; her dream-self had no problem understanding.

Well. There was a first time for everything. If this was a dream, it wasn't so scary... and it would explain why they were naked.

"Maybe we should follow them," Euphie suggested. "There might be something there that explains everything!"

"Right! Let's see what we can find!" She pushed herself to her feet and then suddenly remembered (she'd managed to forget) her state of dress. A small squeak of dismay followed. She cast around for anything that might keep her covered, but there was nothing.

Euphie was lucky, her hair was long enough to cover up all the important bits if she used it that way. Amelia had to settle for arranging hers over her breasts and hoping nobody male showed up.

Feeling nervous and awkward, hugging the wall (the line of strange looking glowing person-sized containers, rather), she followed the lights up.
