Slow recovery [Open like an open thing]

It had been a while after her fight with Kara and Sofia was still feeling the effects. The small bruise on her lung had healed but her two of her ribs were still broken, and there wasn't much to do for them other than rest. And pain medication. To be honest, she was a little out of it from the medicine, but well enough for any visitors that might ( Read more... )

Another slow day. These sort of things were getting more and more common. At this point, she'd enjoy another monster rampaging through the ship. Letting out a sigh, Irma opted to wander across the ship, finding her way to the medbay. Peeking in, her eyes went wide seeing Sofia there.

"Holy...!" Irma muttered before entering the room. "Sofia? How did you get here? ...No, asking if you're okay would be pretty stupid right now.

"Hello Irma." Sofia smiled, then sighed (and then winced at the sharp pain in her ribs from that sigh). "I got into a fight with Kara. I didn't know she was so powerful. I should have known better." Although oddly, she didn't seem to regret it. Instead she was cold, holding down the simmering rage inside of her.

"Hoo, boy..." Irma said, sighing as she took a chair and sat down beside the other girl. She had a suspicion as to what was the cause of the trouble, but she didn't want to start pulling straws.

"So, you mind telling me what got you to fight someone strong enough to get yourself in the infirmary?" she asked.

Sofia scowled. "Because Julian Keller is a liar and a cheater and Kara would rather insult me than believe me. She didn't want to let me go without a fight. I was too angry and hurt to leave." Although she had tried.

Nura has been meaning to say "thank you" to Cissie for all that she had done when Nura was in the Med Bay a while back during the Nightmare King's reign of terror. She has decided against zee-zeeing the young girl over the comm and instead coming down to the Med Bay to personally deliver the message of gratitude.

But when she walks into the Med Bay, she catches no sight of the spirited young girl. Instead, she sees Sofia in one of the Med Bay's beds.

She strides over. "Sofia?" Her eyes flick around and notice how bruised the young woman is. "By Cassandra...what happened to you?"

"I got into a fight with Kara." Sofia stared at the foot of her bed, then back at Nura and smiled faintly. "Not the smartest of things to do."

Nura visibly bristles at the tidbit of the not-so honorable Supergirl mention, but she coolly schools her face with a wave of calm for Sofia's sake. She'll chew Kara out later - as her visions dictate.

"Then I suppose that precog flash I had a while back was true about her being a spoiled little brat, hmm?"

Sofia laughed, which made her wince and hold her chest. "Yes. A spoiled brat. That is... putting it lightly."

"Hey, Sofia. How are you feeling?" Ava asks as she enters the Medbay, omnicom and stenographer's notebook under one arm. She knows how much broken ribs hurt from experience, so she's got a lot of sympathy for Sofia's current condition.

"Are you feeling up to doing some prom work, or do you just want me to hang out and chat? I'm totally fine with either." Ava sits down cross-legged in a chair next to Sofia's bed, setting the things she'd brought on their sides next to her.

"I'm fine." Sofia said, sitting up a little. "I can help you with organizing if you need me to. Is everything going well?" She was so excited about this prom. Too bad that she'd probably have to deal with the usual teen angst associated with prom.

"Yeah, it's going really well. Better than I expected, to be honest." Ava said, tapping a pen against her notebook. She didn't really need a pen and paper, not when she had her omnicom, but it was nice to be able to doodle when she was thinking.

"We've had a bunch of people interested in joining the prom committee, and some chaperons have signed up. The school's principal has said it was okay, and I have no idea why Security would need to get involved, so I think we're fine approval-wise." she said thoughtfully. "Oh, and I found a photographer."

"I can think of several reasons security might need to be involved but that's great! Who's the photographer? Wait, let me guess- Tsukasa?"
