Vivio was still feeling a bit down even after that time after being beaten by Negi. It shouldn't of bothered her this much, but she felt that she seemed... inferior all of a sudden. There was a boy her age with magical powers and he beat her. And it while it was a simple sparring match, to her, it was a trouncing

Nanoha had been just walking through the ship exploring it, as she was wont to do, when she saw a familiar figure sitting in the Media Library watching something - the screen was obscured from this angle.

She smiled, and went to approach her daughter silently... but then she caught sight of what Vivio was watching, and froze in her footsteps.

A movie...?!

Vivio, for the most part, had been entranced by the movie. A random head movement got her to see Nanoha in the corner of her eye. She turned fully and smiled.

"Nanoha-mama! Hi!" Vivio said. Then, she noticed Nanoha's reaction. "Um, what's wrong?" Then, she looked back at the movie playing, then back at her mother, a sheepish grin on her face.

Don't you love surprises from the future?

Sorry, she was still having trouble getting around the idea that there was a movie about her and Fate. "Er... Vivio, there's... I mean, that's..."

"...a movie? R, really?"

Vivio chuckled a bit at Nanoha's shock and confusion.

"Mmm-hmm! It was a shock to you and Fate-mama then, too! We even got to go down and see the movie being produced, too!" Vivio said. "I still think it's odd seeing you like that..."

She pointed to the Barrier Jacket the movie Nanoha was wearing - a little less of a schoolgirl outfit and a little more of a certain giant robot.

"Really? Well, then I guess the me in the future was okay with it," Nanoha gave a little smile before moving to sit next to Vivio.

"...you're right," she nodded. "That's not how my Barrier Jacket looked at all, back then. They must have changed it for the movie."

Vivio nodded. "Yeah. It's too bad, though - yours is just fine. Why couldn't of they just kept it? Fate-mama's looks the same... or well... should be, right?"

Vivio wasn't too sure that Fate REALLY did wear what she did there.

"Hm," Nanoha put a finger to her lips, studying the on-screen representation of the girl she grew up loving. "It's hard to tell since she keeps moving so much, but it looks pretty much the same to me! I wonder why they changed mine and not hers?"

Sadly, Vivio didn't have that answer. Truth be told, she liked Nanoha's real look over the movie's - less intimidating.

"I hope they didn't change it just because they hated it!" Vivio said. Then, a thought crossed her mind. "...would you have worn it?"

"Well, now that I look at it..." Nanoha mused, "It looks like the Exceed Drive mode, doesn't it? That's probably what they based it off of."

A smile. "If I'd wear it now, I'd probably have worn it back then, too."

"It does...! Though, I kinda like what you have now!" Vivio said.

There was a slight giggle as a thought crossed her mind. "Hee... we should get Fate-mama and the others to watch this, too!"

"We should, shouldn't we?" Nanoha smiled... and then paused. "Honestly, I don't know how Fate-chan would take this. I think she'd be embarrassed."

"Ehh... I think you're right..." Vivio said. "We can always drag her in here...!" she stopped, then flailed her hands a bit. "I-I'm kidding! Really! If Fate-mama doesn't want to see it, then we don't have to make her!"

"Hm... I don't know," Nanoha chuckled. "Maybe she should see it."

"Well..." Vivio began. She let out a chuckle and nodded. "Okay, then! She should!"

"Okiedokey! Do you want to pause it while I call her in?" The mage smiled down at her daughter. "We don't want her to miss any more of it than she has to."

One quick message on the Omnicoms later - telling Fate she had a "surprise" in store for her down at the Media Library - and now they just had to wait for her.

A few minutes later, Fate entered the Media Library, reading over the quick message Nanoha had sent her. A surprise, huh?

After a quick look around, she spotted her friend and daughter, and approached...

... Until she was close enough to notice the movie, after which she stopped in her tracks, looking quite confused.
