Life seemed to enjoy doing this to Tony Stark. Get him settled, if not content then at least accustomed, and then turn everything on its head.

"It's possible," he agreed with a light shrug of his shoulders. "I'm going to try mapping the place out once I've settled in. I think I'm going to set up shop in one of these- just somewhere to sleep and play around with whatever ideas come to my head. I'm... tired."
Which was about as close as he'd ever get to admitting just how world-weary his stint as Director had left him. No point, and he'd have to explain far too much anyway.

And in an odd way, that was a relief. Whether or not he chose to believe what they'd been told about the destruction of their universes, at least there was actually no way it could be his fault. For once, Tony stark was legitimately blameless.
He wasn't sure how he felt about that.
