Of course, the task entrusted to our beloved heroes of the Meatcrew won't be easily accomplished. They're being watched. Small, robotic Arctic foxes, a product of Macrohard, studies the crew as they come through the portal. They watch the set up; they see them go into the realm of the Holiday Spirit, and leave in their flying cars to spread joy in

Mecha nutcrackers, ninjas wielding sharpened candy canes as kunai, and cybernetic polar bears are on the attack. The crew has been warned of the thread by the Infiltration Team, but can some of them get to the North Pole in time to defend it?

Aeneas was taking a light nap.
He had never left. Not that he didn’t want to go-unlike the humans, who were embarrassed about clothing and other such material items, Aeneas genuinely wanted to spread the good cheer. It was something he’d been looking forward to ever since the mission was described to them in detail. Of course the background was a little odd, what with the ‘transdimentional fatman spirit in a crystal palace’, but that was, again, irrelevant to the goal. Aeneas wanted to help. He wanted to explore. What were the humans like? How did they spend their time in a slightly…more natural environment ( ... )

"Great, just great!" Shadow snapped. That must have been what he heard mentioned by the others. Tossing off his costume, Shadow raced outside to see what was out there. Distracted by the searing cold and the slight lack of visibility, Shadow could barely make out what was out there.
Barely missing some of the energy shots, a grin formed on Shadow's face.
"So... that's how you want to play, huh?" Shadow said. Raising his own comm ring, he sent out a message.
Alessa. Sonic. Any one else. We DO have attackers. Better hurry before I put them down myself.
With that, Shadow charged headlong into battle.

Truth be told, Aeneas’s main source of shock came from the realization that this was not at all what he’d signed up for; as if he had a choice in the matter, mind you. But you couldn’t blame the guy for not expecting this to happen. Taking into consideration that they were not only at the north pole, in the middle of a raging blizzard, with absolutely insane temperatures and no light whatsoever, but also that so far Aeneas had never once been physically harmed while serving his time on this ship…the creature really hadn’t been taking things seriously up until now. He had no reason to.
Aeneas hefted himself out of the snow, staggering several times before finally gaining his balance and bearings. The initial laser blast had skimmed his side; his fur was pretty badly charred. At least his injuries were superficial. Aaaaaand there were a lot of enemies and so little of themThis ( ... )

“If you have to, fall back into the portal!” Aeneas called, his speech escalating from strained trill to low growl as he watched the giant mechanoid sizzle and disappear within the blizzard, “But keep them from entering the building!”
Yeah, stating the obvious here. Though if this guy was as freaked out as Aeneas was, then perhaps he would need some reminding.
This creature, on the other hand, would stay outside no matter what. It was his prime environment; therefore, his skills would be most efficiently used if he held them off in the snow rather than in the portal. There were, after all, plenty of places for him to hide and recover out here that he was almost positive these…things…would not be able to follow him to ( ... )

"Axel Shooter."
The magic orbs screamed through the air very much like pink artillery shells, slamming into the ground in the middle of the enemy ranks and erupting in destructive fiery blossoms. She would support her crewmates from the air as she always did.

Fate flew in behind Nanoha, heading straight for the ground. In her hand was a sword with a blade of yellow energy: one of Bardiche's various melee forms.
As soon as her feet touched the ground, she finished up what Nanoha had started, slicing through the damaged robotic troops with little effort. These were certainly no gadget drones, so (for now, at least) it was an easy task.

"Well, well... I'm glad people started showing up. I was afraid I'd have to take the lion's share!" Shadow said. As he did, he found more of the ground erupting around as three ninjas shot out from the ground, intending to rain death from above with candy canes.
"You're not going to take me...!" Shadow shouted, launching himself upward, spinning as the candy canes rained down.

Arriving over the terrible battlefield, he scanned the area and swore when a few robots took potshots at his classic car.
"All right," growled Matt as he punched the gear into high. "We need to get faster and smarter."
The radio roaring, he focused his power, what little he could form and he swung around. Shifting gears, the engine of the car roared as he came soaring in.
Slamming his hand on the horn, a pink barrier formed as streaks of crackling magic rippled through the car as he slammed into a nutcracker robot. And another, and another.
The robots slammed at the hood as he growled and hit the eject moments before the car slammed directly into a large pile, exploding in a fiery ball as Matt landed with an audible fwump into the snow, rolling over and over before skidding to a halt.
"I'm never doing that again," declared Olsen as he dove for cover from laser blasts.

Aeneas was underneath the portal, driven far back from the deep trenches where he was most comfortable. While the others were cutting clean through the bulk of the robotic army, those around the fringes were starting to pile up pretty fast.
The alien was doing his best with his limited abilities to hold them off. Thankfully the smaller enemies were the ones that had managed to avoid the mass attacks, making it easier for Aeneas to pick them off with little effort. A tail swipe here, a foreleg smash there, some head dismemberment spattered from time to time to make things interesting…
It was a good thing that these weren’t biological enemies. Aeneas wasn’t sure he’d be able to handle attacking something…eh…meatyOf course there were the usual distractions. A lull in the flow of enemies took Aeneas’s attention to a flying, glowing…car. Yes, it was one of the cars, and it looked familiar-who exactly was in the driver’s seat ( ... )

"Hey! Okay, that does it...time to start fighting." he said. He had more conventional firearms, unlike the bladed items and magicks of the other team members. That was, except for the beam weapons...Dracons, that was what they were called. Either way, he didn't care, as long as he could shoot. He hated to do it, since it would put more holes in the car, but he was in survival mode and using one of the car doors as a shield, firing as fast as he could.
