It's been a bit of a slow time for Shadow. After the training deal with the Outsiders, things seemed to have stalled to a crawl. He was itching for something - ANYTHING - to happen.
When it hit him!
"HURGH!" Shadow yelped out, smacking into an invisible wall. Rubbing his snout, he noticed that, well... he was stuck. "What is this? What's going on!?" With that, he began ramming the wall, kicking it, spinning into it, everything he could. "RRrgh! Fine! I'll do this MY way! CHAOS... CONTROL!"
In the blink of an eye, Shadow disappeared from his spot and reappeared a good distance away.
"Ha! Serves you right!" Shadow said, turning to walk away. "No one outwits the Ultimate Lifef--OMPH!"
Shadow, by this time, had his arms crossed over his chest and resorted to his usual grumpy glare/pout until he saw Leela, causing him to cock an eyebrow.
"Kiss me? Why would I want anyone to kiss me? I just want OUT!" Shadow said. Then, he decided to look up... and saw the mistletoe. "Oh, no."
"Announcing yourself as the Ultimate anything is bound to have a karmic reaction," Alessa commented, which wouldn't have been strange except she was hovering several feet from the floor. "In thsi case, a bad one."
Since she overheard the conversation between him and Leela, she was curious. "What is a 'furry?'"
"Hmph. Well, it's true. I AM the Ultimate Lifeform." Shadow said, crossing his arms. "And I think she's talking about what I am. Then again, I'm more quills that fur."
"If you say so." Alessa knew little about Ultimate Life forms and besides, Kadaj had also boasted that he was the strongest in one way or another. It seemed so pointless to Alessa, all of this posturing. Was it a male trait?
"Furry is inaccurate then, like most human terms of something that is different," she said. "Would you like to get out?"
Alessa shrugged. "It's a thing. You have no romantic feelings toward me, and I reciprocate that feeling. But you are stuck, and I am perfectly willing to get you out of it without teasing or acting foolishly coy. Do you want to wait for someone else?"
Shadow was about to answer before it hit him - what if that someone else was Sonic? He'd NEVER let him live this down. Especially if he went and kissed him. Letting out a sigh, he straightened up and waited for the inevitable.
"As long as you're not reluctant about it," the girl said with a hint of sarcasm, but of course that was only for show. Alessa knew perfectly well she was a thing that was hated or feared by most: casual reluctance could hardly hurt her feelings.
She leaned over and gave the Ultimate Life Form a kiss on the lips: it wasn't exactly a lingering kiss, but it was thirty seconds. Alessa, after all, was curious, and this kissing brought out the awkwardness that Alessa found more amusing than anything.
Shadow's eyes went wide as Alessa's lips met his. He felt his cheeks heat up in embarrassment she held it there. Awkward? Like you wouldn't believe!
As soon as they parted, the wall surrounded Shadow lifted, allowing him to be free. "Ah... um... thanks." Shadow said, looking away. He didn't know what else to say. "You'd... just be careful. Who knows how long this might happen." With this, Shadow began to leave, that awkward feeling still there.

Another wall.
"GGRRR! LET ME GO! LET ME OUT!"

Leela's happened around the corner, and well, she's feeling your pain there, Shadow, but.

Yeah, he was more than a bit flustered at the idea of having to be kissed to escape.

"Alright. You can do it." Shadow said.
