Nothing here was as Sparhawk expected. Mind you, since he hadn't expected to wake up naked and covered in slime, his expectations were already shattered

To Sparhawk, release mechanism sounds like a fancy way of saying doorknob, so he ceases his poking to study the wall.
"Did you learn that the hard way, neighbour?" the broken nosed knight asked as he gave up his search for the elusive knob, and moved towards the other occupant of the corridor.
He looks up at the warrior and nods. "There are several areas of the ship with opponents that cannot be defeated. At least... not with the resources we have at this time." He fully turns and begins to approach. "If you wish to help me locate resources, I have yet to fully explore down this way."
"What sort of opponents?" Sparhawk inquires curiously, staring at the wall as if expecting armoured forms to emerge. A fight would at least be something that he would understand.
The invitation to help explore is met with a nod of assent. "You seem to know your way around here neighbour. Have you been here long?"
"Too long," he explains. "And the opponents are indestructible statuary." He turns to head away. "I've been learning what I can of this location for as long as I have been here."
"At this point," he replies, "I'm not sure which information is pertinent and which is not. To share everything I have learned would be time-consuming and likely tedious." He pauses and looks Sparhawk over. "However, I will note that you are yet another human here... which seems to be a unifying factor in the individuals who have awakened here: a close tie to Earth."
"Sebeaceans and humans are very similar," Scorpius nods, apparently already forgetting the insult. "I am Scorpius," he adds, apparently deciding that it is time for introductions.
The figure looks over at Sparhawk before returning to his examination of a computer panel. He's not touching it -- merely observing it closely.

"Found anything interesting?" Sparhawk asks, as he moves to follow. Always take advice from those who have more experience than you.

"Anything you'd care to share, neighbour?" he asks politely. "Or are you trying to tie everything together before presenting it?"

"Sound strategy," he comments, and it is. Better to have all information before going in, sword at the ready.
The comment about being tied to the Earth confuses him slightly though, for several reasons.
"Are you human?"
Poor Sparhawk. Social nicety's are lost on him.
