While those still up on the roofs might have managed to take out some of the oncoming zombies, the sheer number of them means that a good number are still getting through.
Even worse, some of the more agile zombies have begun trying to climb up the walls in their search for fresh meat.
You guys might wanna take them out before they get to the top.
Nathan had been running back and forth, but he was also armed with a shotgun. Came in handy for aerial attacks, like right now. Getting harder to get headshots with some of these angles.
"Keep firing, and shove them away." Don't need their additional deadweight causing a strain to the roof.
He flew around, checking ammo supplies, and was going to grab some more for these troops.

"Yeah, good idea!" Robert let up his machine gun fireunable to depress the weapon enough to fire at the climbers. He grabbed up his rifle and opened fire at the climbing zombies, sending a few falling to the plaza below. He paused a moment, then pulled the pins on a pair of grenades, rolling them off the edge in the hopes they might take a few more out.

Robert wasn't the only one using grenades. A few feet further down, his bazookoid lying beside him, Lister is dropping grenades down onto some of the dead in his section.
By the sounds of it, he's also awarding himself points for each kill, and as he drops a grenade which manages to land in the open mouth of one of the dead, he gives himself a little cheer.
A climber pokes its decaying head up, and Lister gives what might be described as a girly shriek, before booting it in the face on sheer reflex. There is a crack, and the grasping hands go limp, before the climber slithers back off the roof, and judging by the thump, takes another with it.
"Can't be kicking all of them, any advice?" he asks anyone who happens to be listening.

"Got an e-tool, maybe? Or a rifle butt? Or even a bayonet?" Robert suggested as he awkwardly changes the barrely of his machine gun. It was hard to do it alone, but he managed. He loaded a fresh belt of ammo, chambered a round.
"If you keep them off the roof, I can concentrate on the rest of 'em." He points at the horde below, then opens fire again in a thunderous burst of machine gun fire.
Re: The Roofssmegging_hellNovember 3 2009, 09:55:59 UTC
Lister picks up a loose chunk of roof that had been dislodged by one of his grenade explosions, and brained another climber, before looking thoughtfully at his bazookoid.
"I'll get something pointy from the next ammo run," he cheerfully tells Robert, even as he hoists the bazookoid up with the barrel to the sky. "This'll do in the meantime."
He checks to make sure that he has the firing mechanism disengaged. Don't want to blow the roof people up, after all.

Selene spotted the zombies starting to climb. "Shit," she muttered and stood up, dropping her illusions. After so long, she was starting to wear herself down.
She was used to actually be RESTING when she was doing this. She drew a gun. "Sir, I'm getting a mental strain doing it like this," she said to Mitchell, firing one in the head that was getting close. "I'm going to report inside. Get someone else to watch my body, so they can wake me up if things get real bad." The prime reason she HADN'T been astral was because she really didn't want her body to be unattended with a bunch of zombies around.
"I'll be back in a few minutes and see if another trick might work," she said, firing at one of the zombies that was climbing up the wall.

Ronon noticed the zombies climbing the walls too and was none too happy about it. They seemed to be climbing up fast. It was time to drop the machine gun. Overhearing Selene speaking to Mitchell, he responded to Selene's request by pulling out his gun. "I've got you covered," Ronon reassured Selene. "Do what you have to do."
And with that, Ronon started firing at the zombies scaling the wall. Red energy shots flew from his gun. Whoosh-bang. Whoosh-bang. With his sharp-shooting skills coming into play, each shot was blowing gaping holes into the bodies and heads of the zombies, forcing those hit to drop. He had no idea what Selene would have to do but he was going to make sure she wouldn't be hurt.

"Thanks," Selene said, looking over at Ronon. Just had to remind herself zombie invasions were NOT the time to be stingy about secret identity. "I'll be back as soon as I can!" She said and started to run back towards the building, shooting any zombies that got in her way before Ronon got to them. "Right...safe place...then come back and try this again."

It wasn't that he hadn't heard Jones, or that he'd been ignoring her. Per se. He'd simply been devoting his time to making sure the hoarde of zombies now attempting to learn to climb didn't overwhelm the roofs while he was down a man.
The arrival of Ronon was a relief regardless of the fact that the prisoners taking part in the battle wasn't part of the plan. Plans changed, and they needed every available weapon fighting, not....lurking. In any case, he had no doubt that the man would kill the zombies, and very little doubt the man would back him up when it came to dealing with the zombies, if the situation warranted. His willingness to kill things, after all, had never been in question.
Cam gave a short nod to Jones as she started off, "We're going to need some more ammo over here!" Well, Ronon wouldn't, but he would, and he imagined the other gunmen nearby who used bullets--or approximates--would be in a similar state: he hardly sprayed bullets indiscriminately.

Gauron drops off another load of ammo - and handguns for those who didn't say they had one when he was making his resupply list. "Hey - go light on the grenades. Or are you trying to make more holes in our defenses?" He makes the rounds to hand out the weapons and ammo so no one has to leave their post for even a moment. "Make every shot count with these, and use them as little as possible for now. We may have a lot of small caliber ammo on hand for now, but don't get cocky - we're going to need every round of it if we have to withdraw to a more secure location, and you should assume we're going to use up all of our grenades and most of our bigger rounds in the process." A well-aimed shot from a smaller gun can kill a zombie just as well as rifle fire, after all, and it's less weight to carry - more chances to get it right.
Even worse, some of the more agile zombies have begun trying to climb up the walls in their search for fresh meat.
