There was a lot of light, but none of it was consistent, all encompassing. As such, it left a lot of shadows, made all the more stronger because of the light in the night making them appear even darker

Bandit is running. He's running so fast his belly is practically touching the ground between strides; it's the same pace that's gotten him away from Apache helicopters in the past. His visor is down and he just guns his thrusters, cutting through the horde like a hot knife through butter. He needs his front paws to run, so he can't use his gatling guns, but the laser canon on his back is getting a workout. Headshot, headshot, headshot. It takes a few minutes, but he manages to make it to the edge of the crowd and then breaks from it, his armor covered in rotting, sick flesh and ooze. He's lucky he hasn't run into any of the more durable ones, but his metallic armor shows no sign of damage yet. Now he can start his patrol, cutting down on the extraneous and new arrivals

He couldn't stand being up on the rooftops anymore. He needed to be in the thick of things. THAT'S where he's needed to be. Leaping from the roof, he landed, guns blazing... or in this case, claws slashing. They weren't living, but they wouldn't get mercy in any case - not while innocents still lived here.
As he fought, he noticed the dog in armor facing down a group of zombie dogs and wolves. They easily could overwhelm any of them and take them out.
But, he's not one to back away from any challenge OR to allow anyone fighting forward to die.
After defacing a zombie, Jean-Paul pushed forward, racing towards where the dogs were and raised his left gauntlet, a stream of fire spouting forth. "C'MON! COME AND GET ME! I'M NOT AFRAID OF YOUR KIND!"

A long war howl rises from nearer the walls, and Bella comes barreling through the horde with a combination of claw and battle axe. One of Mother Gaia's many gifts to the Garou is their immunity to most non-Wyrmish sicknesses, it's fairly safe to say that all she really has to worry about is conventional injury rather than infection

He has a team. He likes this, being a unit, working together. He missed it, as much as he can miss anything--without really realizing, only having a small moment of happy recognition when the familiar weight of teammates slid into place.
One Batman, a weapondog and an Ahroun. Best teamup ever.
Bandit puts his head down so as to free up his laser canon. The beam makes an arc, damaging four or five of the beasts at once. He then lunges forward, only to be hit by a wave of mouldy tentacles. Pressed against the ground, he sees two moving towards Bella and manages to free one of his front legs long enough to spare some machine-gun fire towards the enemies' heads.
Outside, Again [WORMS]ladyofthesandsOctober 29 2009, 03:51:58 UTC
Arha slipped away from the confines as she felt her Maker reach out for her. There was a dizzying rush of images and she paused against a building before running onward. The worm that had Leto's pearl of consciousness in him had broken free and her own was raging at the undead.
She was a whirl of blades, with the oct-o-pooze lashing out as she encountered the undead. Taking their heads off was effective, as Kate had said, though she wished she could burn the remains as well. There was going to be a mess assuming they survived this.
Arha worked her way to her Shai-Hulud and released him from the pen, her hands reassuring as she took up position near his head. The oct-o-pooze lanced out and decapitated a zombie attempting to reach her. Obi-Wan was going to quietly strangle her for this, but she would deal with that later.
Let us search the Leto Shai-Hulud out, then, she said softly. Sheeana will have my water for sure if he is lost. Slower, by far, than Sheeana's worm, Arha's set out none the less ferocious, it's roar

The smaller worm had made for the courtyard. The tightest knot of the zombies called to it as well as the mass of voices crying out as they fought them. There was a trail of broken zombie parts left in its wake.
Sensing its brother, the worm reared up and roared its greeting. The mind of Leto cast about in its stunted form for its rider.
Re: Outside, Again [WORMS]ladyofthesandsOctober 29 2009, 04:37:15 UTC
Sheeana fights elsewhere in this ship. I do not know where. She sliced out with the oct-o-pooze, hard and quick, severing as many heads as she could as she whipped around. Her own worm roared back. I hope she is doing well, but I cannot reach her. Arha scowled as a zombie managed to work its way up onto the worm and danced in, lightning quick, to separate its head from its body. The head went flying into the knot of zombies and she shoved the body away.
There was no time to think of it as anything other than dead, now.
Re: Outside, Again [WORMS]worm_dancerOctober 29 2009, 05:24:57 UTC
The worm nodded its faceless front in a parody of human acknowledgement. Protect humans? It said as it raced to cut off a clump of zombies heading towards her.
Re: Outside, Again [WORMS]ladyofthesandsOctober 29 2009, 05:37:34 UTC
Yes, protect them! she said, gritting her teeth as she sent another head flying. It was followed by another and another after that. Arha was bait, though she was deadly bait. Her crysknife flashed in tandem with the oct-o-pooze blade as she kept herself balance on the back of her Shai-Hulud as it rolled to smash incoming zombies.
Arha glanced around in dismay.
Most of the ones she was killing were slow and mindless, but there were so many of them.
Re: Outside, Again [WORMS]worm_dancerOctober 29 2009, 05:52:53 UTC
The worm plowed through, thick with gore. Together they hacked and crunched their way to the courtyard, towering over the creatures, circling Arha to protect her so they spiralled in.
Re: Outside, Again [WORMS]ladyofthesandsOctober 29 2009, 16:19:50 UTC
Arha moved, her form blurring as she cut down these creatures that were made of decay, death, and infection. This was better than being inside, where her skills were not exactly useful. It had been a long time since she had fought properly like this. She was no Fedaykin, but she was Bene Gesserit--even if she was unconventional. With the oct-o-pooze slicing and whipping and her crysknife flashing in what scattered light there was, she used every bit of training available--Jed-Eye and Bene Gesserit

A space began to clear in the courtyard around Arha and the two worms. It was a disgusting space, filled with twitching bloated and stinking parts but it was a space. The worm hissed in pain as it contacted the coagulated blood...not as bad as water but still painful.
Re: Outside, Again [WORMS]ladyofthesandsOctober 30 2009, 21:39:09 UTC
Coming, eventually, Arha said, her voice a blend of soothing and the fire of battle as she sliced down yet another zombie. This, she could not do like this. Keeping her balance, she cast out for Obi-Wan's presence with part of her mind while slicing down those undead who ventured within the reach of her oct-o-pooze.
Her mind arrowed out, hunting for the familiar calmness that was her Master's. He really wasn't that far away. Arha's worm bellowed and came down hard smashing several zombies.
Obi-Wan, she thought loudly. I could use some help over here if you--
Several arms tugged at her legs and she slipped, her concentration broken as she was pulled off her worm and into the undead fray.

Pikachu had been firing bolt after bolt into the crowd, and still he hadn't felt like a dent had been made. He was getting tired, and his footing was rather unsteady. From his perch on the roof, he turned, glancing up at Lafiel before he noticed it. It was floating above her head, glowing, and it seemed to be calling to him somehow. Though he had no idea what it was, he felt a sudden instinctive urge concerning it.
Without another moment of hesitation, Pikachu leaped up and over Lafiel, swinging his tail in a wicked spin, shattering the ball. There was a flash of light, almost blinding, and then Pikachu drifted softly to the rooftop once more, feeling energized and ... changed by the orb he destroyed.
