Opening his eyes, however, did. There had also been a distinct lack of calm, monotonous voices on the Worldship, disembodied or otherwise.
The scream died off with a whimper. "..What?"

"Where am I?" Okay, that was a bit squeakier than he would've liked, but at least it was a relatively normal volume.

An apt description, since even in the dank, dismal lighting, one could see that the walls were literally packed with fleshy, pod-like things with some sort of murky fluid within, and seemed to stretch farther than the eye could see in either direction.

The lights would lead him to some sort of doorway in the structure, which itself led to a room with numerous vines just dangling from the ceiling.
