...Oh, dear. Doctor, I hate to say this, but I might have been affected...

Well then. I suppose you should come down and let us take a look. We should be able to tell from your charts if you have been or not.

It would be worth asking Sta'c K'ltrrb'txft if she has any information on a clock like the one we're suspecting. It's possible that she does, and if there's any known history or past precedent for this clock's effects and what had been done to address them before, we'll have a better idea of how to proceed once we have the artifact to examine ourselves.

Where did you even find how her name is spelled?

I suppose that doesn't matter. It's a good idea. Would you like to meet on the Obs Deck? It seems a workable enough place to ask from.

To be perfectly honest, I'm guessing.

The Obs Deck should be fine. How soon are we looking to go? How many people do you want to keep any questioning session limited to?

I shouldn't think more than five, but I'd rather keep it to a lower number. Fewer people to step on each others' toes and all. Three would work.

Just add me to the list. I've been over this already. Apparently I WAS a book and now I'm not. That's not exactly deaging though.

In the grand scheme of things, it probably is? At least, working backwards through your timeline.

But age has nothing to do with it. If I was 'deaging' as a book I'd be a younger book.

Which was why, in your case, I changed it to timeline. I mean, obviously, you weren't always a book.

Do you know how to determine if someone is affected or not, Doctor?

Well, it does tend to be easier if you know when they're from in the first place. I would suggest that you or the person you're worried about come down to the medbay, especially if they've had their physical already. We could run some tests and check them against our current records.

It would be best for the safety of the crew, that I come to the Med Bay just in case I am affected. I would like to discuss this better over there than on the comms.

Of course. I'm on shift at the moment, so you won't have to worry about talking to anybody else about it.

Are there any spacial-temporal stasis units onboard? Or proper candy canes to at least slow down the effects, until the melty clock is found.

Other than the ones that we came out of? I'm certain that we could convince Stacy to place people back in the pods if it becomes necessary. However, I hope it doesn't come to that.

Hopefully not, no. Still something to keep in mind, given the circumstances. Better the pods than time-skipping back into non-existence.

Oh, well, yes. I can certainly agree with that. If it were me, I'd rather wake up covered in slime again than blip out of existence.

At least somebody would be there with a towel since the podpop would be planned.
