Subthread 1: Pre-fight Memory Download meat_mooks July 23 2011, 05:07:05 UTC
Before the fight, those that were in the company of the CLF could volunteer their memories to be downloaded to a special drive that'd be used to upload them to the Mother Brains during the fight.

They'd get to choose the memories they wanted to send, as well.

[ooc: All tags go directly to this comment. Characters just post what they'd be volunteering. Open only to those that are guests of the CLF.]

It had taken a bit of convincing for Kang to agree to donate some of his memories. He didn't like the idea of other people knowing so much about him. Hearing that he got to choose which ones had been what had swayed him, though, and he'd decided on two of them.

The first one was the Battle of Maranta's Fort, and the incredible odds he and his kind had fought against, for the most basic right to live. The Dark Knights, after finding out that draconians had females and could breed, and thus could no longer be controlled, had paid an army of goblins and hobgoblins to destroy the entire race. They had been outnumbered eight to one, and yet they'd won due to a crazy plan involving a fake dragon and explosives.

The second memory was of Teyr, the draconian nation. It had taken them decades, but they'd made a place for themselves in the world. They had families, and a future that was theirs to create. Their choice.

He hoped those memories would be put to good use.

The scene in Jr.'s memory was one often seen in fiction and movies - something like a person would imagine in their mind. A white house in a country scene, topped with a brown roof and surrounded by a wooden fence in a green, grassy yard with fields of just-as-vibrant emerald fields. A roomy, wooden porch was set up just outside of the main doorway. The memory itself was indeed real, but the feel of the place felt more like the sensoriums. He was in somebody else's subconscious - an image and a home constructed in her mind ( ... )

Rubedo slowly opened his eyes, lifting his head and looking a her curiously as she spoke. "My little sister is gonna be born soon. She’s kind of different from a normal sister. I mean, my mom won’t be giving birth to her, but... My mother and sister ... I want you to look after them for me, okay?"

Rubedo's eyes widened slightly, Sakura and his feelings for her had begun it, but now she was asking him for something. Now he had another reason to exist beyond what he was meant to do. His leg dropped back down to the floor, and he leaned forward with a smile on his face. He looked truly like the giddy twelve year old that he was in that moment. "O-okay! If she’s your sister, I’ll look after her like she was my own!"

"You promise?"

A promise Jr. still kept to her to this day, over fifteen years later. Rubedo balled an excited and determined fist, his voice high, excited and above all, happy. Something to live for... "Of course! Leave it to m ( ... )

Subthread 2: Whose Side Are You On? meat_mooks July 23 2011, 05:21:02 UTC
As everyone arrived in the clone processing center, the main group would be taking fake sides and fighting each other, aiming to look like they were trying to kill, but trying not to severely injure each other or the guards that fought side by side with those pretending to be pro-government.

Amidst plastiglass tubes and industrial machinery, they had to fight as if their lives depended on it--without actually fighting. They had to make it look as explosive as possible as well. It was going to be something of a challenge, especially with Nightwing's orders being that they not actually kill each other or the guards that'd be fighting against some of them ( ... )

"So, it's finally come to this!" Zedd snarled as he and the other pro-government members marched to approach the pro-clones. "You just couldn't keep your stupid little clone-lovin' selves in check, so you decided to help them!"

He tossed his staff from one hand to the other. "Believe me when I say, this has been a long time coming! I'm going to enjoy wiping the smirks off your faces!"

With that, Zedd lifted his staff, aimed at the six and fired a bolt of lightning at them.

Screw Nightwing's orders of not to kill. If he could, he would!

Subthread 3: Teleporter Team meat_mooks July 23 2011, 05:23:05 UTC
One very small team would have to take over and guard one of the center's teleporter pads.

This team was led by Lex Luthor, who would operate the teleporters, and Ruffnut and Signum would act as guards.

[ooc: Posting order: Lex, Ruffnut, Signum, Guards if there are any, Lex, etc.]

Locating one of the lesser used teleporters was easy enough. Securing it was going to be a bit of an issue. There were a pair of guards stationed just outside, but he figured that they wouldn't pose much of a problem.

Of course, he wouldn't be dealing with himself. He was assigned underlings given help for that.

"They're all yours, ladies," he stated, remaining back and out of the way.

"Finally, something I can enjoy." Ruffnut grinned a crooked grin and gave Lex a friendly slap on the shoulder, "Leave it to us baldy!"

The impetuous girl adjusted her buckler and helmet darting around the corner and letting out a roar charging with all her viking might and lunging at the first guard she saw for a punch that defied her stringy build.

Signum smiles just a bit at the younger girl's enthusiasm. Finally, something familiar.

Already transformed into her Knight Armor, Signum draws her sword and it splits apart into its barbed chain form.

"Laevatein! Time to go to work."

"JA!"

The sword blades whistle out at whip length over Ruffnut's head, Signum used to forming the second line behind a shorter girl. It seeks out the chest of the guard Ruffnut isn't punching, slashing out through body armor to hopefully give the guard a very painful flesh wound.

This group would be teleported once the Teleporter Team had control of the teleporter pad to a badly-guarded private space hangar, where they would have to fight off guards and secure a ship.

This team was led by: Jalith. With: Hit Girl and Hana.

Jalith was first off the teleporter pad, fully clad in his Vindicare spy suit and mask, his rifle slung across his back and Exitus pistol in hand. -Jalith reporting, we have breached the hanger- he broadcast through to the other teams before clicking the comms off and glancing back to the two he would be working with the clear the hanger.

"Non-lethal if possible, kill if necessary, let's get this done," This coming from the Vindicare Assassin whose purpose was to kill, orders were orders for now. Without another word he moved forth into hanger, scanning the hanger for signs of guards as he gave the signal to move.

Non lethal if possible. Well, there was a first time for everything, right? Besides, she had spent the last few days mored in politics, squabbling about rights: stuff, quite honestly, she made no bones about being less educated about.

This, on the other hand? Came as naturally as breathing air. Glocks were at hand and she moved just as swiftly as their leader for now. Job was to grab a ship, take down any guards in their way. Simple orders she planned to follow to a T.

She'd show them what this "kid" could do.

This team would be teleported to the medical center some of the crew had toured, in the middle of the night, to detach the equipment, and place sensors on the medical equipment so it could be teleported to the hijacked ship.

It was led by: Zouchi. With: Rory, Sakura, and Howard.

They'd fortunately be disguised as nurses and doctors to make things run more smoothly and hopefully not run afoul of the center's security.

Some things never changed. Like how many security measures you could get past by simply dressing correctly and acting like you were supposed to be here in the first place. Zouichi hoped that was also the case here, if they should encounter any resistance.

"Let's get this done as quickly as we can," he murmured to the others as they arrived. "If you need help disconnecting any heavy equipment, let me know."

"Maybe it'd be better if we split up, cover more ground. Sakura and I know what we're looking for." He opened the locker with his name on it with the key he'd been given, surveying the things they had been given and making a soft sound. He wished he were half this well prepared on most of the things he gotten invovled in. Uniform, bag, supplies. Really, Kanner had practically given them everything they'd need to pass. Including what looked like a medical kit ( ... )

Sakura was looking at her own locker with her name on it. It was disconcerting to think Kanner had pulled this together so quickly. Would it have been for anyone, any name? Was it just convenience that they'd "decided" to help? All by Dick's orders in the end, but that was a matter of interpretation. Up to a point ( ... )
