Stephen had been making plans to go out. This meant that he was going to scour the city for scrap and other assorted things that he could use in his lab. Not that he hadn't picked up a number of things back on XaXing. Using scrap just meant that he had more resources in the long run.

This part of the city was unfamiliar, however, and the sight of a rather large arena-type building piqued his curiosity. He was impressed because it really was in excellent repair--it was almost a shame to consider cannibalizing its electronics for parts.

But that was precisely what was on his mind, until he thought he made out someone down on the arena floor.

He hurried on down, peering through his goggles before he slid them up on his head.

"Are you all right, miss?" Because it was kind of strange to be hanging out in an empty and darkened arena. He hadn't caught sight of Seraphiel, yet.

Hoshi heard footsteps coming through the stadium itself before she snapped out of her thoughts and stood up to greet the person.

"Yeah, I am! I'm just walking down memory lane," she said, slipping the photo back into her wallet and pocketing her wallet again. Seraphiel had swooped down from the stands to rest on her shoulder once more.

"Sorry for worrying you, mister."

"It's all right, just...an unusual place for a hang out, I suppose. And much better than some places on the ship, I expect."

Stephen's eyebrows rose over his goggles as the eagle joined its master. He certainly hadn't seen anything like that, recently.

"Interesting companion. I'm Stephen Valkonan, but I prefer Stephen to mister, if you're going to call me something. And you are?"

He offered a hand and smiled.

"It usually looks a lot better when it's lit up," Hoshi admitted, scratching the back of her head nervously. Okay, so maybe she shouldn't have decided to rest in here, but the area was certainly important to her.

"His name is Seraphiel and he's my friend, as well as my companion," she admitted. "And, all right! Stephen it is. My name is Hikari Hoshi, last name, first."

She took his hand and gave him a friendly shake, a bright grin on her face.

Someone else had found the stadium. Lash was now fifteen, and she'd taken to exploring all around the city. If not by asking for rides, just taking long walks. Commanding Officers were used to those anyway and Lash was no exception, they made her think (of very awful and dangerous things, no doubt). But of course a Neotank or two always made it much more fun and easier, and so there was one parked outside the stadium.

Not having noticed Hoshi yet, she was in the higher stadium benches, screaming out crude words and listening to the echo. It was a fun little game.

Hoshi noticed the crude words that Lash was saying as she sighed, putting her picture away in her wallet. "Ahem." While it wouldn't have echoed, it hopefully would have gotten Lash's attention.

"I don't bite. You can show yourself." Now that surely would have echoed.

The voice stopped for a few seconds before the echoes of footstep coming down carried Lash's loud voice,

"Hey I'm not scared of anything, whoever you are! I just thought this place was deserted!"

"Well, it kinda is, but that won't be the case come when this place is fixed up!" Hoshi answered, wishing she had a flashlight of some kind to help illuminate the area more than it was right now.

"By the way, who are you? I'm Hikari Hoshi, last name, first!"
