The Mysterious Melting Clock

May 14, 2011 08:59

It had taken a little time for Stacy to double back, and for the Melting Clock to be brought on board. Now all of them could see just what had caused such a drastic effect - the giant, metre-wide melting clock face. But now the crew had it in their hands, and they could get to the real work - trying to find a way to destroy it.

A timey-wimey clock that was melting and stealing time had to be a science thing, right? Right. So naturally it was sent straight to the Science Department.

Well, the people in Science themselves might not quite see it the same way...

[[ooc: You can make attempts to destroy the clock here, but no one should hear it chiming yet.]]

After getting kicked out of Science by Luis on account of being a mythological artifact that was clearly magical, the Melting Clock was on the move again, heading towards the Magical Department.

Which meant that on the way there, the Clock had to be carried through the City - meaning that anyone could be wandering by.

[[ooc: Alright guys - Wanda and the Chancellor are going to be carrying the Clock, but wearing earmuffs. They're going to thread for a little bit before the Clock goes off - anyone due to get affected needs to be within hearing distance. Keep everything with Wanda and the Chancellor to one thread, but if your character is a little distance away/won't interact with them, you can start a new thread.]]

The Chancellor wasn't really afraid of the Clock --he had a thousand years to work with. On the other hand, if it somehow damaged any of his memories of his girls, that would be a problem. Hence the covered ears. He smiled, wryly, and fangily, at Councillor Maximoff as they carried it over.

Luckily for Wanda and the Chancellor, they both had earmuffs on - so when the Cloud chimed, they didn't hear a thing.

*DOOM! DOOM! DOOM! DOOM!*

However, anyone else who was in hearing distance? Wasn't going to be so lucky...

Finally, the Clock had made it to it's final destination - the Magical Department. But after already having had one disaster where more people were exposed, precautions had been made - Councilor Rhiow had places a spell that would cancel out all sound waves around the Clock.

Get ready to use mime if you needed to talk to anybody, and try to destroy the Clock if you can.

[[ooc: Clock destroying time! And since no one can hear the Clock, obviously no one can get affected by it here. You can make whatever attempts at destruction that you want, but keep in mind that none of them will so much as dent it.]]

Nanoha was prepared to try one way to destroy the Clock - and to bring back Fate.

It was known as the direct method.

And so she'd cleared a wide zone around the Clock - and set up a barrier, so that any extra magical damage wouldn't permeate through to the temple. Judging by the amount of energy swirling around her right now, there might be a lot of collateral damage.
