Odin's Advent [Bendytimed to after the announcement about the Melting Clock]

May 06, 2011 12:26

There was something wrong with Ren. It was becoming more and more clear to him. He didn't know just what it was, but the more he thought about it, the more he realized things just seemed...off. Like collapsing the week before. There was no reason he should have fallen or why his heart should have stopped. Sure, he'd had an intense training ( Read more... )

"Ren," coughed out Phillip, holding his arm in pain. "He's been affected by the clock, so he henshined into Odin. We've got to stop him before he does anything to hurt everyone else, or before he uses his time vent!"

"Phillip!"

Hello, young sir who is about to be healed. Yuna's staff appeared on the scene before the rest of her, waved in front of her injured friend to send the healing spell. Its owner looked quite concerned, having caught the past few words of the conversation.

"I'll follow you. Show me." That look meant that she wasn't going to turn back. Whoever needed help was getting it, like it or not.

"...Time vent?"

Gwen appeared on the scene herself, eyes glowing pink with mana as she did her best to access the situation before her - thankfully it wasn't something of Ben's doing for once, but she wasn't about to let her guard down for a second.

"Bio-Boost!" Sho yells as he exits the tea house. The Guyver armor wraps around him and he gets ready.

"Stop him, but try not to hurt him. It's still Ren after all."

Andy blinked, looking over at Philip. "Okay, we need to stop him? If you're sure about this..."

And with that, Andy thrust his arms forward. "Blue Unicorn!"

And in a flash of light, he was standing in his ranger form, staring down over at Ren.

"Trust me, him hurting us is more of the problem," said Phillip as he nodded gratefully to Yuna for healing him. "The only strategy I can think of right now is fire where there's feathers."

A beat. "Seriously."

CYCLONE! rang out Phillip's Gaia Memory as he swung his arm across himself and a belt materialized. "Henshin!"

CYCLONE!

In a burst of wind, Phillip changed into the green scarf-wearing Rider.

Sakura emerged last from the Tea House, adjusting her gloves with a look of determination on her face. "Fire at the feathers?" she reiterated, taking the general group's positions into account. "All right. Anything else, let us know."

With one healer on hand, and Sakura acting as another, they were well covered on a medical front.

Odin had just removed the Time Vent card from his deck, and he was about to insert it into the reader when he noticed the arrivals behind him, all of whom were determined to stop him.

“There’s nothing you can do,” he said. Though his voice still sounded like Ren’s, there was no trace of emotion in it, only an eerie echo from the all-encompassing power. “A correction must be made.”

Still, he knew that his chances of scanning the card were slim with everyone gathered here. For now, he would have to fight, if only to buy time until everything could be reset again.

A storm of golden feathers blew through, exploding on contact with whatever they touched. Odin then took a moment to trade cards, replacing the Time Vent in his deck and scanning another.

[Sword Vent]

A gold sword landed in his hand, and he charged at his opponents.

Andy ducked out of the way of the blast of feathers. After all, getting hit with that wasn't going to be good. At all. He pulled out his staff, waiting for when Odin came towards them to parry his strike.

Fire at the feathers...? That she could do if it was needed, Yuna thought. At the minimum, though, she'd need an aeon to protect herself. These warriors weren't her guardians, they had no obligation toward her. Any defending would have to be her own work.

"Armor of light!" she yelled her first spell, staff waved in front of her and calling forth walls of light. They would slow Odin's sword, reducing the damage sustained by the others.

It was time to wait, weapon held in front of her defensively. The situation would tell her when it was time to summon.

[As a note, I'll be tagging back every two tags, just to keep up the pace. So otherwise, maybe the order should be variations on Andy/Yuna, Gwen/Sho, and Sakura/Phillip? Or whatever works best for you guys]

Using short-range teleportation, Odin went to Yuna first, apparently the one with the least offense. The walls came up just as he struck. They did manage to slow the sword, but not stop it completely, as he aimed for her staff.

But there were more to take out, those who would be a bigger problem. Andy was the next one ready to attack, so he engaged him, teleporting over and over as he struck with his sword, trying to slip past his defense.

ASASDSfSAD TELEPORTING! This was what he forgot to mention! Clearly the long months of being separated from Shotarou had dimmed his thought process.

Shooting a glance over to Yuna who had gotten attacked first and then Andy, Phillip went straight for the giver as he pulled his Gaia Memory out and slotted it into the waistband and slapped it. CYCLONE! CYCLONE MAXIMUM DRIVE!

Crouching low, Phillip prepared his Rider Kick.

"CYCLONE EXTREME!"

Yuna let out a cry as she was struck, left with a bleeding arm and bent staff. No matter. She waited for their opponent to attack a distracting warrior at a distance, then sent her prayer toward the sky.

A protective wall of lightning rained down around her, some of its sparks jumping to her chipped staff. They collected as she prayed, their power fueling the appearance of a glyph in the hair. One hard tug of her staff later, her companion burst through, a unicorn surrounded by crackling lightning.

"Ixion, stand strong!" she ordered as the lightning fell. Immediately, he crouched and gathered lightning in his horn. They wouldn't have much time.

As Yuna summoned Ixion, Odin took another card out and scanned it through his Visor.

[Guard Vent]

A golden shield dropped from the sky and landed in his hand, protecting him from much of the lightning. Unfortunately, thanks to Kanzaki ensuring that Odin could win the Rider War at all costs, his sword didn't disappear once a new weapon was summoned, and he teleported past Ixion to try to slash at Yuna again.

Yuna did what she could to roll out of the way, Ixion joining in by kicking out his hind legs. Together, they managed to prevent the summoner from taking too much more damage. When they could, she ordered him to ram Odin with his horn.
