Ronnie had been swamped with work as of late, and seeing that she holed herself up most of the time to keep focused, she hadn't had time to visit Outsider's HQ like she used to. Today however she got a break and took that time to visit and see if there was anything that was needed.
She stopped once she saw Beast Boy however, seeing that he seemed a bit down.
She approached timidly, "H-hey Beast Boy. Are you alright?" She looked concerned and wanting to help.
He got to his feet again and stretched rubbing his bottom ungracefully, "The edge of the pool is kinda rough to sit on." He commented with a sheepish grin. "I ought to bring a chair next time I'm gonna be all pensive and deep."
She smiled albeit a bit sadly in concern. "Anything I c-can do to help you? Maybe talk? Or sometimes talking isn't the best course... Something we can do to keep your mind off things for a bit?"
She got closer a bit shyly but offered a friendly smile nonetheless She wanted to comfort him and she wasn't going to let her timidness impede her from helping a friend.
Beastboy's cheeks flushed a bit sheepish for being caught in an uncharacteristic depressed moment.
"I dunno I'm just trying to figure out what to do with the team next." He started pacing along the edge of the pool figuring she'd follow, "I know we were co-leaders and all but the planning thing was Katara's deal, I was just the figure head you know? She'd want us to keep the team going for sure."
She indeed followed, concern strewn on her face, but she tried keeping a warm smile to lighten the mood up a bit.
"Katara placed a great deal of trust on you. She always spoke very highly of you and how you helped her a great deal. I believe everything she claimed so I know you'll do a great job regardless in which direction you take the outsiders." She reached forward and placed a gentle hand on his shoulder, offering a shy smile. "Besides, you're not alone right?"
She smiled back at him with a nod. "Yup! Together as one, we can overcome the challenges brought upon us no matter how hard it gets. I'm right with you no matter which path you choose. So you can count on me Beast Boy."
Beastboy turned to face her and puffed out his chest full of bravado, "Well with a backup like that the Ohm don't have a chance do they?" He let out a boastful laugh that boomed out and filled the swimming area.
Ronnae's face reddened greatly as she was taken aback by the sudden outburst. She looked down sheepishly and couldn't help a shy giggle. "Y-yeah, th-that's more like it." She fidgeted timidly.
Beastboy caught onto that, "Nuh uh no shying out now mighty warrior. I saw you kicking some serious butt in that last training session. You're totally awesome!" He praised feeling better himself.
The praise made her blush more, but she smiled timidly nonetheless, she really did appreciate it. "Th-thanks! So were you! Those things you can transform into! I've only seen a much less than a handful of people being able to have such diversity. It's amazing!" She said excitedly.
He laughed feeling his face burn a bit bright and a big toothy grin on his face, "Luck of the draw, there was just as much a chance I could be some kind of gorilla monster because of how I got my powers. He joked.
She giggled, covering her mouth as she did before moving one of her bangs behind her ear. "Gorilla monster?" She looks up in thought, "When I think of gorilla monster I think of King Mukla back home. He was enormous. He took captive princess Poobah for a while till a group of adventurers rescued her. I can't see you doing any of the sort. You've been nothing but kind and sweet ever since I met you." She smiled timidly.
Beastboy snorted and then burst out laughing, "Mukla and Poohbah? That's awesome!" He doubled over clutching his sides laughing too hard to notice how she'd complimented him even further.
She looked at him embarrassed and a bit confused. However the laugh was contagious and she was once again laughing shyly as she covered her mouth. "Wh-what's so funny, I don't get it." She finally managed to get out.
