I'm just a liar with nothing left to lie about.
Susan Bysiewicz is coming to our school." The legislators used to call her Byseh-bitch. Apparently she used to be cold and determined and wouldn't go out drinking.
I've got no problem with that.
But she's an FDR democrat. [which the Hartford Advocate for some reason considers 'moderate'. FDR and moderate really don't co-exist.] She's a wild feminist - with a little hero worship for Ella Grasso. (Connecticut's first female governor) She does these random speeches at schools around the State, trying to get people to vote. (You can't say anything bad about making people socially active.) Frankly, I think she's going ot be a little abrasive. First - she's got the Democrat thing going, so that's a strike right off the bat. While she was running for her surrent job (Secretary of the State) she used a pretty devastating attack ad against her opponent, who'd voted down one copy of Megan's Law (you remember the one that originally violated the rights of alleged criminals?) in order to support another, more suitable, version. Basically Bysiewicz made her oppoent appear to support pedofilia and rape (even though the law itself has nothing to do with the office and it's pretty much untrue) and won.
I think that's a little too ambitious. I've always belived in that whole 'don't give power to people who want it' thing.
Anyway.
I was looking for something interesting to ask her. There's nothing. She doesn't do things. She doesn't even have an availabe voting record. I'm going to end up asking some asinine question.
Maybe I'll ask her to defend attack ads or something. Not that I have any problem with them. I'm sure most politicians are supposed to, though.
