Hello Everyone!
Our first meeting for 2006 will be held this Thursday, January 19th from 7:00 - 8:15 pm in C107. At this meeting, we will be discussing the Prejudice Reduction Conference in further detail and registering members who donated atleast $25. [it was by this point that my jaw was agape. I was thinking that she sounded as though she'd used a thesaurous to put this together]
The Conference is a really excellent experience. There is a variety of workshops to suit everyone's interests, one of the highlights being the Salsa and Swing Dance workshop. Hence, this Conference is a fun way to get credit for one event towards your three events for membership in HRC. The conference looks great on college transcipts, and as an HRC member, you have the opportunity to attend whereas other schools only recieve 20 spots at the Conference. Best of all, you get to MISS SCHOOL!!! [I think my brain exploded. This pretty much explains what the club's about. Amusing]
So, if you decide that you want to attend, and support the club, bring a donation of atleast $25 to the meeting on Thursday and you will receive a registration booklet. This is your absolute last chance to sign up for the Conference. [I started thinking, "Nida'd have a field day. Then my brain exploded. Again.]
Additionally, we are still looking for ads to be placed in the Ad book. The Ad book is one of our primary methods of fundraising, and if you can get businesses, people, etc. to put in personal ads then it would really help![wtf?]
