He was tired. He knew that much.
The sky was darkening. There weren’t anyone at school in this time, he knew for a fact. He had just finished his rounds of patrols.
It was well past seven.
The sky was breathtakingly beautiful. The clouds looked soft, and dreamy. The sky slowly darkened, taking it’s time. Hibird was unusually quiet that night. Maybe it just sensed the atmosphere. He wasn’t sure, but either way, it didn’t matter.
He felt a soft breeze caress his hair. It’s gentle, and he doesn’t really mind it. It’s quiet; it’s peaceful, just how he likes it.
Did he live for scenes like this? He wasn’t so sure. He liked a good battle. The adrenaline was addictive. It just made him crave it more and more…
He didn’t know, but he didn’t care. The time will come when he will care. Plus, the future was wide. Just about anything could happen.
Anything, eh? Interesting.
He let his eyes drop willingly, and Hibird sang a lullaby for him.
A lullaby… Something soft, something gentle. Something that he wasn’t really used to.
It didn’t matter, because he didn’t care. Appearances were annoying to keep up.
He drifted off to sleep.
