So we've moved to the cottage on the St. Lawrence River for the second summer. I love spending time with my family and in my native North Country. We're back to hanging out together in between our cottage or my brother's, planning and sharing meals every day, and running back and forth. Oh yeah, we're busy waiting for my brother and sister-in-law's baby to arrive (our nephew is due 8/15/07)!
I'm reliving the growing season. Everything is in bloom here. All the garden centers are still full and thriving. At home in PA, spring has long passed and garden centers are long cleared out. The weather is about two months behind here also. It's been in the 60's and rainy during the days, and in the 50s during the nights. Sweatshirts, jeans, and sneakers.
I'm heading home to PA on Sunday. Amber is due to have her wisdom teeth removed on Monday. ...and because I've so graciously handed down so many wonderful genetic diseases, she will have to be admitted to Jefferson University Hospital, IV clotting agents pre-op for hours, general anesthesia, surgery to delicately remove the teeth, and then admission to the hospital for further IV clotting agents and recovery for at least 24 additional hours. Then because, as Puffinboy says, I know how to rip the bottom out of a bag of fun, I'm being admitted to the day surgical unit on the 12h for a lumbar puncture.
Back to the North Country on the 14th, baby shower on the 15th!
Busy week, but I owe someone a phone call! Free later today or tomorrow?
