I don't know what the heck I'm doing but I just found another thing to look forward to.
I was just looking up Kajiura Yuki to see if she had some new music and I saw that she will be doing "Tsubasa Shunraiki", 『ツバサ 春雷記』. It's almost been a year since Tokyo Revelations came out. The manga is still progressing on... and it's been revealed that this OVA is coupled with xxxHOLIC's titled "xxxHOLiC Shunmuki”,『xxxHOLiC 春夢記』. (These two stories are very closely related but are different series.)
So here's some info found on Tsubasa's DVD content:
- 2009.Mar.17
-- Part 1 of the OVA releases with manga volume 26 first press edition (3,700円)
- 2009.Apr.17
-- Part 2 of the OVA releases with manga volume 27 first press edition (3,700円)
- apparently this OVA covers 3 parts of the manga: 1) Fai’s country arc (Celes), 2) Kurogane’s Japan arc, and 3) the Dream World arc
Wow... that IS a lot of money. And that is very fast progression... was that like equivalent to 50 chapters of the manga (roughly counted)? And does the number 17 have some kind of significance or is it just coincidence? Tokyo Revelations was released on the 17th for parts 2 and 3 on different months (Jan, Mar respectively).
And I just found this clip.
Tsubasa Chronicle voice acting in REAL TIME!!! It's so coooooool~ You get to see what Syaoran, Sakura, Fai, Kurogane, and Mokona's voice actors (seiyuu) actually look like while recording!! Yeah, I can't seem to recall that episode that they did and link it to any episode I've watched. I just looked it up though. From the subtitles in the clip, it says it is from Season 2's episode 6 "魔術師とデート". If my memory hasn't failed on me, it should be the episode where Fai and Chii of another country have a 'date' and it talks about the country with no day and it's always night because of magic or something. It's been too long since I watched Tsubasa haha... I'm actually kind of surprised they have to share the "mics", meaning that they'd have to move around while recording to be in front of the mic according to whoever speaks next.

Phantom of the Opera Mandarin Version
Title: 歌劇魅影
Sung by: 費翔 (Kris Phillips), 朱樺 (ZHU, Hua)
詞 (Lyrics by): 艷陽 (Yan Yang)
Grace, I think you will like this. =)
I just somehow came across this while looking around for soundtracks.
Somehow the
video took scenes from the movie and such which I somehow find very funny the way they edited it. =\ But at least there are original scenes, it would've been nice if they made that whole thing original footage. Nevertheless, the
lyrics are written beautifully and really conveys the feeling of the actual lyrics. The lyrics site has the comparison between the English, Chinese, and Translated Chinese versions so you can see the similarity. It's even got pinyin if you want to sing it hahaha. =3 Apparently there's a
live version too. And it's really interesting because if the video is correct, it says the male is from USA and the girl is from China. o_o
This song is timeless. <3
And because since we're at it... there is of course a
Japanese version. It's not as good as the Chinese one in my opinion but I guess it should be good enough to give it a listen. The video ends earlier than the audio version so it might not exactly match the lyrics. Romaji and English translation lyrics are found
here. I think I found a typo in the romaji version, so look at your own risk. Here are the
Japanese lyrics for those who are interested.
Title: オペラ座の怪人 / Opera za no kaijin
I don't know any Korean, nor am I interested currently just yet. Even without knowing the language,
this is just amazing. A LOT better than the Japanese one.
