a reminder to myself
Here's to 2017. Here's to the blinders being lifted, here's to the roll of the dice, here's to walking into the unknown.
How naive we were, and how arrogant, to think that we had clarity, control or certainty. We put things into neat boxes, labelled them, so we could store them away and forget them more easily. Alt-right, bigot, sexist... We are all more than our labels. It would've been easier if we weren't. But no matter how seemingly small the mind, or how alien the sensibility, it is a dangerous habit to fall into, to look and dismiss. You don't see them coming once you fall into that trap.
