- My life currently revolves around tennis. Every year, these are my favourite two weeks of the year. I love watching this sport so much.
Q. You were on Serena's website as one of her best all‑time wins. Can you clarify that for us?
ANDY RODDICK: Yes, I can, unfortunately. She always just gives me crap. Ask her about it. But she won't give me a rematch.
I saw her yesterday, and she walked on the court and started laughing because she knew I had probably seen it. I said, It wasn't fair. When we were ten, I had to literally run around in the shower to get wet. I was this big [holds up little finger]. She was bench pressing dump trucks already at that time. I told her that yesterday, and she got a good laugh. Any chance she gets she just does it to get under my skin, and she does it very successfully.
But, you know, however many some odd Wimbledon titles and they're like, What's your best match? I have a win over Andy Roddick. She forgets to mention that it was 1993.
Q. So a charity rematch might be in the cards?
ANDY RODDICK: I'd love to. Tell her to do it.
Q. She thinks now she's beaten everyone you've beaten.
ANDY RODDICK: Oh, yeah. She sat me down for five minutes yesterday and was going through her indirect wins. She was pretty excited. She didn't know I had two wins over Pete, so she was excited about that also. I wish I could deny it, but I would be lying if I tried to.
It brought the lolz. I could go on and on about this tournament so I won't, but there is one thing that I want to say: I will miss seeing Marat playing here. I wish I could've seen him play once. :(
- I've otherwise been cleaning the house for Chinese New Year, exercising or going out. Every time I think about what day it is, the end of the holidays feels closer, and the more I want to cling on.
- I'm feeling too hot to even update properly, this is sad. I'll just leave with some pics.
Saw the Arctic Monkeys with a couple of friends. Most of my concert photos of them were blurry but I think this one sums it up best.
It was goddamn epic. We were initially moshing it in the 3rd row, and it was just mental. Not only were there plenty of noobcake jerkfaces who decided pushing towards the front was glorious fun (and you're essentially at their mercy), but on one of the hottest and most humid days on record, and all around you are sweaty giants stuck to you, skin on skin, it was ridiculously gross even as it was the best atmosphere.
Just not ever moshing with this sort of crowd again though, it's not worth it. It's first row or nothing, because otherwise you just can't breathe and you've no rail to hold onto. Oh, and we were too short to get any water lol.
We escaped towards the sides towards the seated areas where you can actually get some fresh air, and from there on, we just danced and sang throughout the 90 minutes. You could actually get room to dance. Such an amazing live act. I Bet You Look Good On the Dancefloor was just the most fun I've ever had at a concert, fricking awesome.
Okay, I didn't know that Canterbury Leagues RSL Club looked this nice. I expected more beer-stained carpet lol.
The rest were the result of playing with my brother's D40. Goddamn sexy. I feel inspired every time I hold the damn thing.
