I went to see Stars a few days ago and they were awesome. I've been to several gigs this summer, but this was the best concert by far because:
- I was right in front the stage. There were times where I thought the lead male singer of Stars, Torquil, was going to step on my face since he's a bit restless. My legs and lower back were dead by the end of the night, but it was so worth it.
- The Firekites were playing as support, and I adore them so much, they make such beautiful music. Violin as part of a band = ♥. The crowd really enjoyed them, my fellow front-rowers had beatific smiles on their faces and after they finished, I heard people around me asking who these guys were.
- It was the best-smelling concert ever lol. Before Stars came on, two dozen pink roses decorated the stage and throughout the concert, their heads were ripped off and their petals thrown into the audience.
- Stars were simply amazing. They played all my favourite songs from their latest two albums (their best ones) and 3 from their new EP. The Night Starts Here, Take Me To The Riot, My Favourite Book, Your Ex-Lover Is Dead, Set Yourself On Fire, Calendar Girl, they did them all. Everyone was so into it, the atmosphere was incredible.
- Dude, they got me to play guitar for them. Okay, so it wasn't really, but the guitarist came to the front of the stage and shoved his guitar at us, letting us strum however we wanted for about 10 seconds. It was so cool.
