Today is
Global Self-Injury Awareness Day.
Even if you don't know it, you know people who use self-injury as a coping mechanism. Think about your friends, family members, peers. Think about people who could use a hug, or a little extra help at work, or who's day would absolutely brighten up with a surprise outing to the movies or some candy. Do something absolutely selfless to bring someone a little bit of joy, or to lessen their daily stress by an iota.
Now think what would happen if we all did this once a day.
Also just take a minute to read about self-injury and educate yourself about something that plenty of people around you struggle with every day.
My thoughts are with you my friends. I love you each and every day for making it through, surviving, and working to do better than just survive the following day.
