Summer Update
As usual, my last entry was about a month ago. Summer is going well, been really busy with everything!
My friend Jen from college, came to visit me a few weeks ago! She drove all the way from Hudson, Fl (near Tampa) to Pensacola!!! Unbelieveable! All I gave was my address, and suddenly she gave me a phone call and said...I'm here! Besides Catherine, Jen is probably the second person to meet my entire family. It just so happens that my big bro, his wife (future wife), and my second bro came home like 3 hours before she arrived. It was so cool to have EVERYONE in this little house (19 people), but we managed and it was so much fun. I love having a big family. But my little sisters cried when Jen left us. Awwwww...
And...Catherine and Hazel brought a crew to eat at the restuarant last night while I was working. I miss you guys so much! And I'm such a bad friend for living like 15 mins away and never coming by to see anyone all summer. I really appreciate you all coming to see me! The waitress, Ms. Jill, said that y'all were the loudest group of Asians she's ever met...hehehe...but you were all very kind!
My best accomplishment this summer---I can drive a stick shift-manual transmission!!! I never liked driving, never wanted to drive, but I was just curious to learn...and it's actually very fun! It's not hard at all, just very different from normal driving with an automatic, and there are three pedals: the clutch, the brakes, and the gas. In which, I drive with both feet with an automatic anyways, so I had to make some adjustments but not much...I thought being left handed would screw me but it didn't. One thing though, you need fast reaction, and you need to learn to feel the car---every sound the engine makes, and every move. Well, I can't drive on my own yet, still got lots of practice to go, but driving a stick shift is definitely interesting! I'm going back to Orlando and driving my brother's Z4 BMW! hahaha! And crash!
