Christmas Wishes - The FanFic Edition

Nov 06, 2006 11:53

I totally stole this from ralst and I'm gonna quote it word for word since me paraphrasing it would just bastardize the whole thing -

The Idea - A short list of stories we'd love to read - in as much or as little detail as you deem fit - or would write ourselves if we had the time. Then, if someone else is in the mood, maybe they'll decide to grant ( Read more... )

Now this is an awesome idea and as for what I want for Christmas... how about we start with the body that goes with your icon?
Oh and no fair bringing this out during NaNo!

That body is Jamie Pressley's and she's mine, all mine, dammit!

Well, it *is* an X-Mas wishlist, which means one needn't start writing until December ;)

Right as though any of us have any control when there is fic to be written.

Ummmm flip you for her?

Wait forgot something. So you want zombies for Christmas? Hmm.. well let me see if I can do something about that. Always up for a challenge. Oh and again, interesting things like this during NaNo.. not nice at all.

1.) WTH is NaNo?
2.) Much agree on the Sara/Sofia but sadly that won't be coming from me...
3.) Mine's a short list... Torchwood: Gwen/Tosh. and also RPFS. Me/Eve Myles...

National Novel Writing Month. It's something where perfectly sane people attempt to write 50,000 words in one month.

Mine's a short list... Torchwood: Gwen/Tosh. and also RPFS. Me/Eve Myles...

Lol, if I'd thought about it, I would have asked for me/Eve Myles fic too.. and me/Jill Wagner, me/Yancy Butler, me/Dina Meyer.. ;)

Annabeth/Maureen from Close To Home - because my taste in women is terrible

An old school Agatha Christie type story where the two have to rely just as much on their brains

Guh, that founds fascinating. I hope somebody decides to write it.

How can anyone who has Wonder Woman as an icon (let alone one with Priyanka Chopra) think they have terrible taste in women!?!

Lol, me too!! I would if I had the time but I just seem to have so little of it these days.

The fact that CTH has two female in charge leads is the only thing the show has going for it. Because it's kinda dead boring otherwise. It's so mean, they have never even pinged me before the last episode. Couldn't they have had that episode a few weeks earlier? At least I could have disposed my bunny to yuletude.

Ok, maybe it's just a terrible taste in chemistry. I'm always rooting for the couple nobody else notices and I'm often totally blind to the popular pairings (I like to cite that I watched one year of Smallville until I found out by accident that people were shipping Clark/Lex; it took me a long time to get that and why people were doing McShep... the list goes on).

Lol, me too!! I would if I had the time but I just seem to have so little of it these days.Yeah, sadly it seems that also the interest/reward for longer plotty fics is also pretty low. Which is a damn pity because, guh, just how ( ... )

Which is a damn pity because, guh, just how gorgeous would Sara and Sofia be in a classic murder mystery setting? *loves*

Oh I most definitely agree that is why ... now don't tell trancer but I am going to try and put something together for this fic. shhh!

And love your Wonder Woman icon.

I love your list.

I'd love to try and write you either the MiS or CSI ones (I've always wanted to do an Agetha Christie style whodunnit but with hot women getting friendly in front of the fire) and I'd definitely be willing to hound the writer of your choice for the Grey's fic *g*

I've never heard of Dexter, is it good? More importantly, is it chock full of ye old subtext?

As for the zombies, is this zomebi romance or Shaun of the Dead style running from zombies?

I don't wanna thump my chest too much, but what surprises me about that particular plot idea is that CSI *hasn't* done it already. Or have they and I missed it? It seems like an episode where the gang has to go lo-tech and rely on old-school investigation techniques would be right up their alley. Like, what would they do if there was a blackout rendering all that thousand dollar equipment worthless? Or being stuck someplace where they can't use it?

Dexter is crazy good but I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea because it is about a serial killer (who works in forensics for the police). I wouldn't say it's chockful of subtext but Dexter's sister Deb is so very, very gay. She's like what I'd imagine a baby-dyke Olivia Benson to be without the overtly emo issues.

There was one episode where Grissom is stuck in some backwater town and somebody has stolen his evidence kit and he has to improvise. But it wan't all that terribly interesting and murder mystery-y.
