Sunday TV Time
I figured I'd deviate from the norm and go backwards as to what I watched.
Grey's Anatomy - Oh, silly drama medical show, how I've missed you.
Meredith - funny how little screentime she got. Think the PTB are finally getting the hint? Plus, she combed her hair and my sudden realization that I find Ellen Pompeo kinda hot is starting to scare me. Still, have no idea what the VO's said because I've still kept my power to blank them out.
Christina and Burke continue to bring the cute but could we bring some different kind of drama into their relationship besides Christina's intimacy issues and Burke's wanting to know about her?
Alex - for once I didn't hate him. Still don't want him back with Izzie, she's too good for him, but I didn't hate him.
George - yes, you need to get a haircut. And bless you and your big heart
Izzie - Thank God someone finally clued in and realized how hot she is. And Izzie said she could do "girl-on-girl". Heh, you know she was talking about Addison. Plus, Katherine Heigl is a beautiful woman and her character is everything the PTB keep forcing me to think Meredith is.
Addison - Okay, I don't think I've loved a fictional character this much since like Xena. Addison rocks and makes my girly-bits do funny and strange things. And, if Derek calling Addison "passive-aggressive" wasn't the pot calling the kettle black, I don't know what is. Does Addison *not* have the right to be pissed off that her husband told her he's in love with another woman, one in which he continues to flirt with on a regular basis? Oh, that's right, she cheated therefore she must be castigated for her sins and genuflect before him for forgiveness, no matter how shitty he treats her, until the rest of her life. Addison, honey, you can do sooo much better and her name is Isobel Stevens!!
Desperate Housewives - Not much to say here, really. I mean, I found the ep entertaining and am soo glad Susan has a new boy toy because the Mike bullshit got real old, real fast. But, if I have a complaint it's this - you don't tell us Gaby has sexy pictures and NOT show us something. It's bad enough knowing Bree has a box of S&M gear, now I gotta live with never seeing topless Gaby pics too!?!
Cold Case - God, this was soo much better than last weeks Bruce Springsteen circle jerk. Oh, 1994, I remember you well. Funny watching the birth of emo-angst and realizing why I hate it so!
Finally, I get to see Tracie Thomis in her new role. And I know everyone will be calling her 'That Girl From RENT' but she'll always be Mahandra to me. Now, if she and Lily could share screentime so I can get with the slash!
The L Word - Okay, yeah, I know I said I was done last week. But, I find the show soo much more tolerable when I'm watching it at the beginning of my tv viewing night instead of the end. Thank you Showtime East.
And the character assassination continues and, goddamn, Danielle Sea CAN NOT act!! I know all the TWoP'ers said to give her some time. No, tonight made it painfully obvious. Whatever reason she was hired, it wasn't for her acting talent.
Anyway, the best part of the ep? You know that scene where Alice is exiting the Gay & Lesbian Center? Right across the street (or used to be, I don't know)is this shitty, cock-roach infested motel where you can stay a week for like 30 bucks. After I quit my job in Alaska and moved to LA, it's where I stayed for three months back when I was a wannabe screenwriter and trying to take Hollywood by storm. Instead, I hung out at the beach, subsisted on Diet Pepsi and Cheetos and spent alot of time getting drunk before moving to Seattle. Man, those were like some of the best months of my life. Good times...good times!!
