Yes, this was pretty much inspired by the kink meme. And now this pairing has EATEN MY BRAIN!! I don't know where this fic came from other than my general musing as to whether Helen had other children, which turned into 'ooh, what if she were cloning Ashley?' and 'what if Ashley was just like her father'.

OMG!!!

I'm never going to be able to watch Sanctuary in quite the same light again! And the ending... creating the perfect child. Wow.

Lol, I feel the same way about never watching the show in the same light again!

I guess I just found it odd that Helen would wait a hundred years to give birth to a child fathered by Jack the Ripper. Especially when, over the course of that time, she could have found much more suitable father material. I just wanted to present a Helen who's a bit darker than the show version and give her some darker motivations for Ashley.

wow, that's awesome! so dark, so plotty. here i am just expecting a PWP but you surprised me with plot. :P and a fascinating one at that. dark Helen is so much more interesting. i wonder what Ashley would do if she found out what mommy dearest is really doing.
