After watching this video, please tell me you DIDN'T know that racial prejudice, ignorance, and religious bigotry played a LARGE part of the Mc Cain campaign.

I'm pretty sure it's not.. but face it we were screwed anyway.. either a black man for pres or a girl for a VP runningmate.

I do too. Like I said before there are a lot of things I didn't agree with him about... but I hope that he does as good a job running the country as he promised he would.

Of course, logically, I know that (I was speaking in the fantasy sense of them just vanishing. period.). And while I also hope they will learn, and I will certainly do my part to aid that as I always have when met with racism and other irrational prejudices, I've also grown to realize that many, many people are morons and always will be.

It's tough to change a true believer, because in their world view, there is no "truth" other than the one they, their parents, their churches, and their community has constructed for them. Logic is often ignored in favor of circular reasoning and other fallacies. I can only hold out hope that for a few of them, evolution is possible. But seeing things like that fills me with such and anger and shame, it's hard to suppress my instantaneous reaction.

but to sum it up, Obama is smarter, wiser, a better husband to his wife and father to his kids *puppy!*, better looking, and his views and outlooks are that I can stand behind and support and believe in. His election as president shows that most americans are slowly getting smarter, and seeing that this country needs a man like him in charge.
