First off, if you have not yet heard of Dr. McNinja you should go
here. It's short, I promise.
This week has been going really well so far. I got a quiz back from last week and found out I got a 37 out of 45, which is even nicer when you consider the class average was 16. I might actually pull off an A in the class. I also finished the suggested creative parts of my circuit which is really nice. The basic circuit (which they gave us a diagram for) has a red LED that flashes when an infrared light is detected and a green LED that flashes otherwise and is powered only by a 9V battery. Today I added a yellow LED that flashes out of time with the green LED and a buzzer with manually variable pitch that buzzes in time with the red LED. The second part functionality was suggested but we had to figure out how to implement it ourselves. The reason I posted all this was because the final part we have to think up our own additional functionality for the circuit and I couldn't really come up with ideas. So I would love a creative suggestion (I'll worry about feasability later) on what I could do with two visible light detectors of varying sensitivity and a way to manually change the speed of the flashing lights....
Now if only I could get some sleep and had a place to live next year life would be perfect.
