I love Thanksgiving. What a good holiday.
How intensely do you celebrate Thanksgiving, on a 1-10 scale?
Thanksgiving gets more involved every year. Usually I end up eating with my family, visiting my boyfriend’s family, and sometimes other events.
1. What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving?
I just love how it’s a nice genuine holiday with family and food. It’s not in-your-face “BUYTHISNOW!” like the other ones. I especially like how you don’t need to buy presents for anyone. You simply enjoy each other, eat, and have fun. Auntie Linda makes a kickass meal, too.
2. Do you eat Turkey? What foods are on your table every year?
I like turkey, especially the skin. It’s the healthiest part. We have a typical Thanksgiving dinner plus Aunt Peg’s pumpkin bread. ((Though we didn’t have it this year.)) : (
3. What are your Thanksgiving traditions, is there something you do every year?
We say grace and eat. My sister and I usually say something stupid and inappropriate every year, and usually we offend someone by accident.
4. Do you watch the Macy's Day Parade?
No, but I do like the balloons.
5. What are 10 things you thankful for?
1. Family
2. Friends
3. Health
4. My apartment
5. My computer
6. Wine
7. Food
8. Rainy days
9. Having the week off! : D
10. Coffee
6. Do you go shopping on Black Friday -the next day?
Absolutely not. I avoid it like the plague. It gives me anxiety problems. Besides, all those people crammed into one mall is just asking for a zombie outbreak.
7. Do you celebrate Buy Nothing Day? Have you heard of it?
YES, I do not buy one single thing on Black Friday except maybe a foamy latte from Starbucks.
8. Do you watch football at home?
Nope, I still don’t get how the game works.
9. Do you have a favorite Thanksgiving Memeory?
I loved the Thanksgiving when my dad made dinner. It was amazing. It was just my immediate family so we didn't offend anyone with our obnoxious behavior.
10. It's not Thanksgiving without...
A) My family doing something weird and B) stuffing.
11. What will be different about this Thanksgiving?
Aunt Peg is in the hospital and she isn’t doing too well, but I’m thankful she had a really, really, good 86 years.
