I Think I've Lost My Mind

This past week was barely short of horrid and brings up the question why I keep adding things to my schedule. This was the first week that I had assignments due in all three engineering classes and every single one took longer than I though it would so I've hardly slept the past few days. Then I talked myself into joining PTS (the mechanical engineering honors society) which just takes up more time. Career Fair is next week and I have a ton of stuff to do for solar car including learning two different softwares, organizing my underling(s), and various work sessions. On top of that I said I'd drive the trailer to an upcoming weekend-long auto show. That means I'll be missing class so I have to get my homework done early plus work ahead because midterms start the week after. And of course SWE stuff keeps popping up.

On a more cheerful note, the materials prof apparently has a sense of humor. She was going over estimating very large or very small numbers. Her second example of "engineering" estimation was: "How many 12 oz. bottle or cans of beer are sold in the US every year?" Here's a few excerpts from the conversation.

"You have to average the southerners. Remember they are American. ... Football watching, couch potato, beer-drinking Americans".

"Not everyone drinks beer. Anyone drink vodka?" She raised her hand and we all sat there like "did you really just say that?"
