Intro to FIlm
Sunday was crazy. I went to work (well, really, volunteer) on this indie movie being shot in the 'Peg. Got there at 9 am, left at 12 am Monday. I learned so much, but it was a brutal day. The house was so hot, and Kellie (the director) was doing crazy complicated shots that were taking forever, and she did about 7 takes of it. It was so helpful though. I even ended up camera assisting by the end of the day. That meant I got to do the clapper board thing (actually called a slate). Everyone was so nice in putting up with me, because I know I screwed up so much. Met so many cool people, and I'm sure I'm crazy, but I really do want to do this. And if I go to the union office, I can maybe start getting paid, but just for production assistant for now. Most thankless job ever. You just do whatever you are told to do. You are everyone's bitch. But I don't mind. You got to start somewhere. Such a good day.
