We put in an offer on a house yesterday..and they accepted it! It's exciting and incredibly nerve-wracking all at the same time. We still have some financing issues to work out, but if all goes as planned we will close on or before October 30. Just in time for Kenzie to go trick or treating in her new neighborhood!!
It's on the corner of River and Prospect in Spring Lake. It's right next to Holmes and the middle school, so we can walk Kenzie to school! We're also going to fence in the backyard so our monster has room to roam! There are also 48 different types of flowers planted on the property. I've always loved those HUGE flowers..I'm pretty sure it's a type of hibiscus..but that's in the yard! The yard isn't that big..but it's definitely big enough for Kenzie to get her energy out.
My favorite thing about the house is the remodeled kitchen! I'm in love with it. All of the appliances are included and they're relatively new. It's so perfect for Rick, too! He'll have his own little chill space/man cave in the basement that's all finished and even has a bathroom. There is also an "office" in the basement..which will be my sewing/crafts room! One of my main concerns while looking for a house was that Rick had a space to escape to and listen to his records. My only piece of advice: a happy marriage requires a man cave.
I'm going to keep my fingers and toes crossed for the next two months because I really hope everything works out
