If your semester is unbearably overwhelming, your finals are going to be UNBEARABLY OVERWHELMING!!
I had to take an extension, which I am not very happy about. I will be even less happy if it turns into an incomplete.
In case you are wondering, I will just say this: Samuel Taylor Coleridge is a metaphysical morass.
Two papers down.
six phd applications down.
two minor exams to go.
four phd applications to go.
One overwhelming paper on Coleridge:imagination, infinity, unification, Medieval Romance, and contemporary criticism to go.
Things have been very stressful and hard. To relax I learned to play "videotape" from Radiohead's latest album on the piano.
this is good and bad.
good because it relieves stress.
bad because I play it on a loop for hours (literally)
good because it relieves stress.
bad because the vocals are just below the falsetto point, and there is no way I can sing them without sounding dumb, and by dumb I mean like a drunk hobo or a boy in puberty.
After turning in my Composition theory paper, I decided to play "videotape" on the baby grand in Caldwell lounge. This was a bad idea. because now I want a baby grand. like really really want. It sounded so amazing. Also, it made me sing be better. Three possible reasons: 1) the higher keyboard allowed a straighter posture while playing, 2) paper turned in = less stress = relaxed vocal chords 3) baby grands are magic!
