That sounds like a fantastic ending! I will not lie by saying it was not at all the ending I was hoping for.
I must mention, however, that I am, in fact, a dreamwidth user. I lived at livejournal for years and years until they chased me away with awful business decisions. I keep this journal to follow friends who have not left, and use it for comments, but my posts and things are DW only. So I have friended you back (clearly!) but sadly you would have to maneuver going to another place to read my own ramblings. That being said, I am quite content to just bother you here. If that is okay.
(She really does. I keep finding that I know people who know her, or she knows people that I know, and it is just a CIRCLE OF KNOWING)
I read that! Honestly I've been thinking about getting a dreamwidth myself. I've stuck by LJ so far but this whole latest "oh by the way you're not getting your notifications" deal may be the last straw. DO NOT MAKE ME CHECK AN ADDITIONAL EMAIL ADDRESS, LIVEJOURNAL. I CANNOT HANDLE THE PRESSURE. But yes, feel free to bother!
(Every day, I grow more and more convinced that she's not so much a person as a kind of fandom force of nature.)
Also I really want to write that soul bond fic now but priorities. I must remember that I have them! ... But so tempting.
Oooh, if you did move to dreamwidth, that would be wonderful! I love it there, but I really want to build the sort of community I had here, you know? I'm happy to still watch and comment, but it feels a bit one-sided now.
To further convince, both Lily and Kura have DW journals and pretty much just crosspost over to LJ. SO YOU WOULD GOING INTO THE ARMS OF THOSE WHO ALREADY KNOW AND LOVE YOU. And it could mean epic comment times.
(She kind of is. I mean, just her input into certain fandoms alone....)
Bahaha priorities. I remember those. Or. Should. I spent the last many hours doing horrible amounts of legal reading and writing, and only just got around to writing more for the two things I'm filling now. I MAY HAVE TO GET UP IN FIVE HOURS, BUT I WILL UPDATE THESE TWO POSTS DARN IT.
...please don't follow my examples. I am a horrible role model.
It's pretty tempting at this point -- I think I might end up caving soon. I already had one that I just sort of never used, back when scans_daily first moved. I can always just crosspost to this journal, after all. And I do like epic comment times!
(cough IkeSoren cough)
Honestly at this point I'm just barely familiar with the concept. PRIORITIES. Those things that I'm supposed to have but am terrible at. I mean, CLEARLY fanfic about baby superheroes should be number one on my list, right? Otherwise they wouldn't be so adorable. (ALSO YAY. By which I mean that I am in no way encouraging this choice. By which I mean YAY.)
Do it! Do it! It's ridiculously easy to transfer everything over, crossposting means you get to keep your LJ too, if you want (I crossposted for months before leaving completely), and then we will start building an epic DW community! Everyone wins!
(I knew nothing about FE, so when we finally managed to arrange a visit, she brought the game with her to prove her points.)
CLEARLY. I agree with this 100 percent! Except for that whole life and sleeping and work thing. Especially the sleeping part. (on that note, stories have been updated, excuse me while I go collapse atop my bed-covers now)
I mean. If you need an invite code, please do not hesitate to ask! I have loads.
(It was an interesting experience! Mostly because I'm not really that type of gamer, since my own family doesn't own any consoles [she brought it with her] and whatnot and I read really fast. Eventually it deviated to my playing the game, but also reading aloud all the dialogue in various voices and flailing a lot/commenting on everything.)
(By the time we hit the one-hour mark, we had an audience of all my siblings.)
Thank you! I think I'm good, though. I sort of pilfered one of the ones from my old account.
(I THINK I REMEMBER HER TELLING ME ABOUT THIS. Or at least about bringing her Gamecube to someone on a visit? So either that was you or she's going 'round to everyone's, dragging the game with her, in which case I feel a bit cheated.
Also, the time I made my best friend play, that's totally how it went down. It's just better with voices!)

In other words -- I'm glad you found me!
(Also, it is just a small internet, or does measuringlife just know everyone?)

I like how my little brother commented on that entry, to boot. ~WE WERE DESTINED TO MEET~.
