"It's like gopher, but with a T."

I recently met up with a highschool friend to watch In Good Company starring Topher Grace, Scarlet Johansen, and Dennis Quaid. Surprisingly enough, the movie was not as corny as I'd imagined it to be, but was a very delightful light-hearted comedy with well-written lines and excellent comic timing. I really enjoyed it, perhaps more than I should have...

As a result, I'm going through this Topher Grace obsession phase. Today, Joyce was annoyed because I decided to ditch my 4pm total fitness class so that I could watch and tape an all new episode of 'Ellen' where Topher Grace was promoting his movie.

Anyhoo..

I've been listening to my Disney soundtracks, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and The Lion King, and they're so good! I encourage everyone to rediscover their childhood! Especially 'Prince Ali' from Aladdin-- it's hillarious!!

You know, I realized that I'm very grateful to have grown up with the "classic" disney movies; you know, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, 101 Dalmatians, Aladdin, The Lion King, and what the heck-- maybe even Pochahontas and Mulan-- those were the last of the good Disney animated films. These were imaginative films enriched with well written and arranged songs (both lyrical and instrumental) and compared to the animated Disney films of now--Lilo and Stich, Home on the Range--disney animation sucks. Not only the animation, but the storylines and the songs have become so incredibly corny and desperate that they're not really worth mentioning in comparison to the classics. So,

thank God for Pixar.

The pixar films are so so so soooooo cool, and their dialogue contains a lot of teenage/adult-targeted material. I feel really lucky about that too because I know I wouldn't have enjoyed The Incredibles as much as I did if I were 10 years old.

...I'm just blabbing.
