since i plan a big post about war stuff as soon as i can find a way to transcribe it all, i'll stop war stuff for this post.
i was looking around old bookmarks and stumbled on this. "call an owl". (that wasn't the original bookmark) just the pic on the 1st page was enough to thrill me. the idea of calling a bird and waiting for it answer is cool as hell. or not. just an ecology nerdgasm i suppose.
i also had a nerdgasm last week when we went outside to see the space station or shuttle (who can tell at that altitude) pass overhead. we watched it two different nights. the 1st night was about 6 seconds long and constant. the 2nd night was just enough for a bright flash with a 1 second chaser. both pretty neat.
