Civil War     HD720p 35MB
Action drama set in a near-future fractured America that follows events in the U.S. during a civil war. Government forces attack civilians. Journalists are shot in the Capitol. Cast members include Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, Cailee Spaeny, Jesse Plemons, Nick Offerman, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Karl Glusman and Sonoya Mizuno. Written and directed by Alex Garland (Ex Machina, Annihilation, Men).
So far still fictional. Side note, the systematic inability of the film distributor A24 to provide a plot summary is unrivalled.

Dune: Part Two     HD720p 33MB   HD1080p 57MB
Delayed until March due to the actor's strike, so we get another trailer for the second part, again directed by Denis Villeneuve (Arrival, Sicario, Incendies). It will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) as he unites with Chani (Zendaya) and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee. All cast members who survived the first part will return. New cast additions are Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Léa Seydoux and Christopher Walken.

The Zone of Interest     Tsr1 HD720p 16MB    HD720p Tsr2 10MB
Two interesting, short trailers for this unconventional drama about the Holocaust. It's about the commandant of Auschwitz, Rudolf Höss (Christian Friedel), and his wife Hedwig (Sandra Hüller), who strive to build a dream life for their family in a house and garden next to the camp. Directed by Jonathan Glazer (Under the Skin, Sexy Beast, Birth).
Won the Golden Palm this year in Cannes, where the movie was uniformly praised.

Freud's Last Session     HD720p 19MB
Adaptation of a play about a fictional meeting, set in London, September 3rd, 1939. The world is on the brink of war. In his final days, Sigmund Freud (Anthony Hopkins), a recent escapee with his daughter (Liv Lisa Fries) from Nazi regime, receives a visit from the formidable Oxford Don C.S. Lewis (Matthew Goode). On this day, two of the greatest minds of the twentieth century intimately engage in a monumental session over the belief in the future of mankind and the existence of God.
Festival reviews laud the conversations between the two leads but critisise the added story elements.

Society of the Snow - La sociedad de la nieve     HD1080p 28MB
Drama based on true events from 1972, about Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571, which had been chartered to fly a rugby team to Chile, that crashed in the heart of the Andes. Only 29 of its 45 passengers survived the accident. Trapped in one of the most hostile and inaccessible environments on the planet, they have to resort to extreme measures to stay alive. Directed by J.A. Bayona (A Monster Calls, The Impossible, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom ).
Very memorable story, but I don't think I want to see a movie about it. Spain's submission for the "Best International Film". After a brief theatrical run, will start streaming on Netflix January 4th.
