Stone HD480p 42MB HD720p 98MBDrama with thriller elements about a parole officer (Robert De Niro) who counts the days toward a quiet retirement who is asked to review the case of a convicted murderer (Edward Norton) now eligible for early release. Milla Jovovich plays the convict's wife, trying her best to influence the officer, Frances Conroy plays the wife of the officer. Directed by John Curran (The Painted Veil, We Don't Live Here Anymore).
I hope there's more to the story than the trailer indicates because otherwise it's difficult to keep interest despite the cast. But it's nice to see Jovovich in an acting role for a change.
Buried HD480p 31MB HD720p 77MBVery unconventional thriller about a U.S. truck driver (Ryan Reynolds) who is kidnapped in Iraq and held for ransom. When he wakes up 6 feet underground with no idea of who put him there or why, life for him instantly becomes a hellish struggle for survival. Buried with only a cell phone and a lighter, his contact with the outside world and ability to piece together clues that could help him discover his location are maddeningly limited. A race against time begins.
Yes, you've read that right, pretty much the whole movie takes place inside a coffin. If you're claustrophobic, then I suspect this one's not for you. I like the premise but I think I'd preferred it if they had left Iraq out of the story. A short, earlier teaser that gives you an impression of what to expect:
