Many thanks for the Push trailer! (Keeping an eye on that one.)

Off-topic, but Wanted is out on DVD (retail) here tomorrow. I think it's one of those rare instances of the UK preceding the US on release dates.

You're welcome! Push looks quite interesting. It could at least theoretically be an interesting movie. :)

Due to the late release of the movie I don't think the Wanted DVD will be available here this year. But I've seen a few days ago that there will be quite a few different international editions.

In regards to Push, I'm pretty sure I saw that movie when it was a tv show on nbc called Heroes.

I've never seen the show, but I can see your point. I'm sure that was part of the pitch for the movie. :D

There's a tv show that plays on my local channel called Largo Winch. Same plot, same idea, and it is the cheesiest thing I've ever seen. I hope the movie is better.

I've never seen it but the series is based on the same comic. I wouldn't set my expectations too high but not at least because of the presence of Kristin Scott Thomas I think it should be quite entertaining.

The movie burrows deep into the deadly world of psychic espionage

Writing film descriptions is an art ... all on it's own

Many, many years ago I regularly had access to a magazine from the music industry that was read by all the major record shops. It also compiled the local music charts. And it was always mind-boggling to read how the record labels tried to sell their artists. I sometimes wonder what PR people are smoking. :D

For the rest of us, the movie probably won't help us understand why it's desirable to pretty much subordinate your life to the wishes of a dog.
I read this book, because it was selling well at our store. To this day, I've never understood (a) why in the hell it's so popular (and exists in so many formats), nor (b) why in the hell it's being made into a movie.

I can understand why a book or a movie like that can be popular (Puppies! ;) ). What I don't understand is why people think they have to own dogs. :)
