I woke up this morning at nine o'clock.
It sounded like someone was banging on my roof and trying to break into my room from above, I could hear mice and probably a squirrel or two in the attic scrambling for cover, it sounded like people were running up and down the stairs and yelling, and every few seconds the house would shake and there would be this enormous, deep rumbling sound and it was terrifying.
I thought that the world was ending.
Then I went downstairs to see what was going on.
It turns out that, unbeknownst to me, power washers had been hired to clean out our gutters.
